And Siegerazer Keeps Giving

By: Aingeal

Ever had a moment on a borderland where you find yourself with barely enough numbers to set off the break-out Siegerazer event while running with at least triple the opposition? Ever go to take your spawn tower, only to see it decked to the nines with arrow carts, ballistas, and enemy forces? Ever really want to take just ten people and pop a thirty man group in the mouth over and over for over thirty minutes? If you've ever found yourself in those two positions and salivating over the third, then you missed out on some great fun in Northern Shiverpeaks Borderlands. It all started about 8PM server when we started to lose numbers in our twenty man force. Quickly, twenty, became fifteen, became ten. We moved to Bluebriar to begin a tower assault as our numbers dwindles. Quickly we began to focus on that gate, finding however that we were being pelted by two arrow carts and five or so men. We fended them off, just to have another ten rush in, quickly pounding them down into the ground and focusing back on the gate, just in time for a group of twenty to roll through and wipe out our forces. So, back at spawn, we rallied just enough troops to set off Siegerazer for the first time, heading back down to the area in front of the tower where we fought outmanned at least 2-1 and in most cases 3-1 against a group with the strategical position and siege. Unfortunately for them, we have a brute of a commander with us, and Siegerazer really helped even out the playing field, drawing tons of attention and keep the fight off of the people. We fought for five minutes, then ten, never quite making our way through the gate or a wall. Then the time turned from ten, to fifteen, and our evening factor fell. Instead of panicking however, we moved quickly back to our home safe haven and set the brute back off on the march down to the tower. This time, we fought a little more tactically, trying to stay out of siege, the fight then raged on for another 5, 10, and finally 15 minutes before once more, all our siege was destroyed and Siegerazer was sent packing. However, the damage was done. With the wall of the tower down to less then 10%, there was no way we were going to let the objective remain in enemy hands. So quickly, we rallied at spawn and set the brute back down a warpath for the third time. This time, instead of following directly though, we headed through the Vale supply camp to take a surprise angle at the enemy, who's eyes were heavily on the front of the tower. After setting up a catapult right against the wall in a sneaky way, the wall came down and the true siege began. The fight in the tower raged on, trying to take out the many arrow carts and ballistas the enemies had decked the halls with. Within five minutes, Siegerazer was up the stairs and into the Lord's Room of the tower, and from there the deal was done. Keeping our massive wrecking ball alive and in the center of the circle, we finally expelled the 30 plus men of the enemy force and captures the tower for our own!
