The Capture Of Green Briar Tower [Fin's Chaos Squad June 17th 2014]

The gate had almost been rammed down when the scout report came in. The enemy had been spotted on a hill in the distance behind our heroes. They had been silently waiting, observing our group of heroes, looking for the opportunity to ambush them inside Green Briar Tower.
The gate fell, a quick decision was made and the order given to rush in. There was no time to waste. The objective was to get in and burn down the guards and the Tower Lord as fast as possible in order to capture the tower before the enemy had time to react.
With the guards down and the capture circle up, the alarm was sounded. The enemy had been sighted charging up the ramp toward our heroes. Outnumbered, our heroes found themselves with their backs to wall - yet again! - as the hammer train leaped into the circle to contest the capture. Eight of them against our heroes' group of five. The chaos erupted.
Fighting in such tight quarters is never easy, especially with an enemy intent on bashing everything that moved with their hammers, yet our heroes rose up to meet the challenge head on. With swiftness and agility our heroes fought back, evading, blocking, countering the enemy move for move. One of the enemy warriors was the first to fall, which served only to enraged the rest of them. Our heroes fought hard and fought bravely, picking the enemy off one by one.
One of our heroes fell in battle and the enemy leaped at the opportunity to finish him off. Teetering on the brink of defeat our hero never gave up. While he kept fighting, the rest of the squad rallied around him to provide support. Moments before the final finishing blow would have been delivered by the enemy, our hero was rescued - rallied by a perfectly timed finishing of another fallen enemy solider.
Stretched thin, our heroes found themselves on the back foot, many close to being brought down. Another ally fell in battle moments later, but yet again was rallied by a perfectly timed finishing of an enemy soldier. Bravely, our heroes fought in unison, with purpose, falling and rising again, never giving up until they finally triumphed over their enemy, securing a well-earned victory and capture of a strategic objective.
