With the new patch I was having addon problems in ESO. While these are normal and to be expected post patch, this particular problem was unique. It didn't affect any one specific addon, rather any outdated ones. Specifically, I could not change my settings to all outdated addons. I would check the box and reloadui, but none of them loaded and upon checking again the allow outdated addons box was yet again unchecked.
Since this was a new issue for me, and since I recently took the plunge to Windows 10 I guessed it was a permission problem (many games have issue especially if it involved some type of cloud based saving, ie steam cloud). Anyways, I tried the fix that worked for those games and it seemed to work for ESO as well. Simply right click the shortcut for the game and run it as admin. Clear it up and I was able to get my addons back.
