Not Authorized to Access My ESO Game

I am getting the error message that my computer isn't authorized to access the game!  It is not sending an email with a code to my email address......   When I log into my ESO account, it shows everything is okay (e.g., my email address and all my billing info is correct).  I have requested help, but there is a note on the web saying they are experiencing higher than expected problems.

This is the second time the game has decided that it doesn't like my computer.  I can't figure out why or what caused the issue; although, I did update my video drivers today.

**sigh**

I had this as a random problem once, about 4 days ago. I shut down the launcher and started it up again, and all was good the second time. It seemed kind of wierd at the time.

I know I rec'd that message today, but also rec'd the e-mail with the code.  It is the only PC I've ever played the game on and I also thought it was weird - but since I did get the code, I just proceeded.

Another glitch from a game that is just starting... but then again I've had the same problem with other games and not quite sure why.  It might be after my anti - virus runs a scan and cleans things up - now that I think of it.

I got the same thing yesterday, ran the code and it started fine. At first I was concerned that someone had tried to hack me, but the email gives you a timestamp of the login attempt at the unrecognised computer and yup, that was me just a few seconds before. We may take comfort in the knowledge that since something new is not working as intended, they fixed something else. Hopefully "Devine Favor".

My pc lost its internet connection when I was playing the other day. I rebooted my pc and connection was back so not sure what happened. When I went to log in I got the same message you guys did, saying it didn't recognize my pc, and there was an email with a code to use and get back in game. So maybe I had a new IP address after the DC.

Happened to me yesterday too. Entered the code from the email and all was well. I assumed maybe my IP address changed or something.

I have received the same message, and Kalizaar you are most likely correct.  If your internet router has a dynamic rather than a static IP address it can cause the issue with any site or program that tracks IP (including online banking).  Fym, did you check to see if messages are dropping thru a junk mail filter?  That is the most common reason for not receiving system emails.

Fym:

I hope this post is from before our FG run last night, which means you made it back in! Thanks for your help in that run, while I try to figure out heals on Savonarola. I haven't played a healer in a game since Warhammer Online launched, and in that game I had a bunch of addons that made healing pretty easy. Much more challenging here.

I just reset my router (and changed the dynamic IP lease period) and triggered this message. Anyone with a dynamic IP (an IP address that changes periodically, which is commonly the case with residential cable or DSL customers) is probably going to trigger it when their IP changes. It's just a security check by ZOS to make sure your account hasn't been hacked - hence the authentication code they send to your email address.

Not sure why some people aren't getting the email though - might be worth checking spam folders as it's from noreply@mail.elderscrollsonline.com

and has the title: Elder Scrolls Online - Login From Unknown IP Address
