Traveling on a budget in Tamriel

OK - it is actually travelling for free and isn't even my idea - but I heard it in RC - tried it out and it works great!

Open your guild Roster and pick someone in your zone and click on them or a far off zone - then <Travel to player>

This will take you to the wayshrine closest to them.  Now this may or may not be the wayshrine where you wish to go.

This doesn't matter since you are now at a wayshrine and can use it to go to the one you really want.

Free travel - in just a few steps.

Also you can travel from a wayshrine to the Harborage for free.

You can also get naked and type /stuck. Not the most practical but if you need a quick way to get to the nearest wayshrine so you can then travel to another for free, it does work. As long as you arent wearing your gear it wont be damaged. It does specifically say "equipped" items. I'm assuming this wont stay in game forever. Only time I used it was in Cyrodil far far away from any travel point.

Another thing that could go into that thread about things that would be weird if you did it in real life.

Ah!!!!  I've done this with friends; but if we are in same area, we never thought to try it with someone we weren't grouped with.  LOL

On some of my alts I'll equip "exploration" gear and travel to other Guild members in higher areas.  Quick leveling, pick up some in the open sky-shards, get more hirelings.

Something to note, is that non-Vets will not be able to go to Vet zones.  We've tested it.

That's a great tip Sekk - and one of the reasons that sometimes the "Travel to Player" option isn't even available - they are a playing an alt in a different faction.

Did not know that, but it makes sense I suppose.  We don't have access to those phases of the other zones.
