Now the possible explanations are plausible but seriously, I think a daedric anchor will be appearing over the centre of England sometime soon.

Looks like a big smoke ring to me. Seems to have some kind of electrostatic charge as well since inner particles are compressed and outer are dispersed. I call "Performance Art".

well, at least if the Daedra are invading the real world, they are hitting the english first!!! Nothinr wrong with england, but I think its cause they veered too far north of France.
In a serious note; I think it does look cool, what is so amazing is how it made it in the news and was related to Eldar Scrolls, which only goes to show the popularity of video games these days, even the media is picking up on them.

Truth: it looks just the smoke cloud from an electrical transformer exploding. That's likely the effect the fireworks maker was trying to emulate. I've seen one first hand - when my Mustang careened into one after an illegal with no insurance cut me off in Phoenix. Poor Mustang... only 3 months old. Also, if you are a city engineer, don't be an idiot and put a city gas main pipe right next to an electrical transformer...
