Hello once again, family! 'Tis Ragmar, your roleplaying enthusiast!
So I've been looking forward to ESO for two big reasons, that rival each other for primary and secondary reasons, and change places depending on the day. One being large scale siege warfare similar to DAoC, and the other being, and you've probably already guessed it, the massive roleplay potential!
I love to roleplay. I spent a few years on the Earthen Ring roleplaying server, and before that, I spent lots of time doing some tabletops, as well as various roles throughout some plays and musicals I've been in. I ran a successful roleplaying guild on the Earthen Ring server for about a year, until I couldn't afford to play WoW anymore and passed the reins to a friend, and, sadly, Honourbound no longer lives.
However! Gaiscioch has withstood the test of time, and I'd love to see us take part in the roleplaying community in ESO. If you look at Tamriel Foundry and teso-rp.com, there are so many people out there who are just as excited to give it a try as we are! What I'd like to do is I'd like to put together a list of people who are interested in roleplaying in ESO, that way when the time comes, we can get started building storylines, events, and other rp related things right from launch. If you have a character built you'd like to share with us, here is the place to post a little about them up! If you have an idea for a story, or an event, let us know and we can discuss it, and get it ready to go, or at least a little more polished.
I love playing GW2 with the family. But I really do miss roleplaying. And who knows - our fearless leader started Gaiscioch as a roleplaying guild, and was telling me a little bit about one of his DAoC characters earlier. Maybe we can get Fog involved. Putting aside any and all comments and semi-poking fun at our guild leader, I would love to see anyone and everyone who wants to roleplay get involved. The number one issue I heard on Earthen Ring when roleplayers quit was "I just don't feel comfortable. I feel like a noob and don't know what I'm doing." I would like to tell everyone that's fine! It takes practice and time to get used to it and to build a character you love. I would be happy to sit down and help you out. As soon as ESO launches, I plan on starting my RP 101 classes again. I'm certain that there are many people who'd like to help out too.
So, if you have the slightest inclination to try out roleplaying, let us know here! Let your ideas flow, ask your questions, and let's prepare to do something great together!
