so im heading to san Antonio for pax south and was woundering if anyone in the family was going too, or if anyone knows anything else I should do while down there besides see the Alamo.

We'll be there again this year. I'm so glad that they put one almost in our backyard (we live in Austin).
The Alamo is pretty cool, especially if you've never been before but be warned it is WAY smaller than most people expect. Downtown San Antonio is setup for foot traffic so you can walk most places. There is some other touristy things near the Alamo like a Ripleys, Guiness Records and Wax Museum, though it's been forever since I've been around there. There's always the Riverwalk and tons of Mexican food, don't miss that. :)
