Headphones Question

I am looking to get a new set of headphones since mine seem to be dying. I am hoping for some suggestions. Here's the catch: most headphones that I have found seem to squeeze my head a bit much. Since I am a migraine sufferer, this can bring them on. I would rather not have something that does that if at all possible.

Thanks in advance!

Astro's A40. I've had these for about 7 years and they are amazing. They are the topic of many arguments as my wife hates them. She can be screaming at me and with the noise cancellation foam in I can't hear her at all. She sits three feet next to me.

I wear glasses and these things are great. They are super soft and sometimes I forget I have them on. Most of the time now I wear them one ear on one ear off so I don't get a random object hurled at my head because I couldn't hear people. Still super comfortable that way as well.

I really like my Razer Kraken 7.1 headphones. Good sound, comfortable., supposedly a really good mic ( i don't use it but I have seen youtube videos comparing the mics and this one was the best) I got mine maybe 2 years ago and haven't had any issues. I remember doing a lot of research at the time and they were the best. I don't know if price is a factor for you but they are about 100$. I remember they were on sale black friday for 80. I didn't see any sales (yet) while getting a link. If you get it from the razer website it comes with a headphone stand (i didnt get this offer, I kinda want one now :p). There are other models. I'm honestly not sure which one I have (probably classic?) but the price difference is 10$ so you might as well get the better one.

Be aware that comfy headsets are going to start @ $100.  Look for cushy, complete ear covering headsets.  I wear glasses + have sinus issues, so I have to watch what I wear as well.  For a reference, I use Logitech G35, but its a few years old and I am not sure what newer options are out there now.  As a backup set, I also have a NOX on-the-ear set, that is comfortable.

Sekkerhund is right for reference my astros cost about $300. Granted I personally feel like the quality in them is top notch and I've spend about that over a 7 year period constantly buying new headsets. So the $300 over time I see that as potential money saved.

I recently picked up some Sennheiser U320s on sale from Woot with the intention of using them with my XB1.  I already had some Audio Technica ATH-M50s I use for single-player games and music, but I wanted something with a mic for multiplayer games.  Initially I was bummed because the XB1 setup was a failure with my TV, but I decided to try it on my PC and the results have been pretty great.

They're open-back, so you can hear other sounds in the room, the mic mutes automatically if you flip it up, and they're extremely comfortable.  I've found I can wear them for hours on end without fatigue, so they've become my main headphones for most things.  I got mine for $75 when they're originally over $200, but you can currently get them on Amazon for about $90.  I highly recommend trying them, especially if you don't want to spend hundreds of dollars.

After all the cracked headbands, after all kinked charging wires, and after sweating to death from giant earmuffs, I finally decided to go the route of high quality earplugs and I am sooooooo not going back. I will eventually get a high quality mic, but for now my webcam has a built in one that suffices.

I can't go without wireless now, and I love my Logitech G930.  I think they're probably around $100 US, so a bit cheaper than the others mentioned here.  Had them 2 years and no problems.  I can go make coffee or food or even bio and still talk with them using the headset as push to talk.

Also seems like there's a fair amount of room around my ears so I don't think you'd get a squishy head problem.

I use the Plantronics Gamecom 380, which I find very comfortable and have great sound; also a bit more budget-friendly.

Thank you, all of you, for the recommendations. I will look at all of these for awhile and see what looks like it will be the most comfortable.
