Oooh you reminded me, must request "I would walk 500 miles" by the Proclaimers. A friend of mine used to use that one to troll nightclub patrons as it's utterly "undanceable" and instantly kills the atmosphere.

Wait ... ice in tea?  What the ... ? Well, not in this country.

I fail to see and issue with anything on this List. That said let me assist with number 6. 

Follow these steps to produce 1 gallon (or 3.5 liters for my target audience) of the "Nectar of the Gods"

1. Start by bringing 5 quarts of water to a boil
2. Remove from heat and add 5 family size black tea bags, then cover the pot. Use w/e brand you like, I personally use Lipton. The box looks like this
3. Now let that tea steep for about 10 minutes. Feel free to vary this time based on how strong you prefer your tea. It's gonna take you several batches to produce the tea strength that's just right for you. This is art not science.
4. Now let's prep that gallon container. Start by cleaning it thoroughly. "But Pookha, it was in the cabinet and it's already cle.. WRONG! Clean it again!" Ensure that the container is sterile and that means HOT, STEAMING WATER BRITS! I'm talking to your TIREAN! When you have it right it should smell like spring water and happiness. In the south we like reuse our gallon milk jugs (because that's what mom did) for tea pitchers, so scrubbing is not really an option. If you choose this method be sure to clean your milk jug the second you pour the last milk from it, Not after its been sitting empty in your fridge for a week. 
5. Ok now that we have our container clean it's time to add that sugar (granulated sugar), 2 cups to be exact. Dump it in... and yes you should be scared at this point.
6. OK once the tea is done steeping it's time to pour it in the container. "But Pookha, how am I gonna fit 5 quarts into a gallon container?" Well that's a good question Jimmy, the simple answer is you're not because of science and stuff. We boiled 5 quarts because we lost some water as steam while it was boiling and we are gonna lose even more when we try to pour this 2 gallon pot full of boiling tea into our milk jug using a wobbly plastic funnel. You're gonna want to do this in the sink. If you have a large ladle use it. Yes it takes longer, but there are less burns. If not... you're in for a good time. However you get the tea in there be sure to pour slowly.
7. Once the jug (I have not switched to the assumption we are using our milk jugs because it's such a perfect idea.) is about 50% full stop pouring. It's time to shake! Put the cap on the jug (Hold it very tight if it's not a screw on cap) and use a rag to keep from burning your hands. Flip the jug sideways and give it two very firm shakes back and forth. NO it wont explode, but more science is happening in there so let that air out slowly and get back to shaking. Keep doing this until there is no more air being produced in the jug. 
8. Now pour tea into the jug until the heavenly foam you just produced reaches the top of the jug. DO NOT FILL THE JUG WITH TEA. TREASURE THE FOAM!
9. Now cap your tea jug give it a few more shakes for good measure and place it in the fridge. "You're just kidding right? we can have a glass now can't we?" NO The "Nectar of the Gods is served chilled! If you pour hot Tea on ice you're gonna get nothing good! Let it hang out in the fridge for at least 5 hours 12 is perfected if you can handle it. That said if you reach for that tea jug and the handle is not cold to the touch... it needs more time.
10. Once that tea is chilled serve it in a glass (note this refers to both the object and material plastic is for peasants) full of ice (Also if you are strange you may add a slice or lemon, but note it's not recommended by me.). Sip don't chug, you're one of the enlightened now. Enjoy your new found happiness.

Okay, someone thought that I was being mean in my post up top and took me to task for my 'critical remarks'.

I would just like to clear up the fact that my post was intended as a light-hearted fun poke at Pookha and/or Jabr.  Not a serious complaint or downer on the obvious humour in this thread.  If anyone else took it wrongly, then I apologise as it was not intended that way.  Now get back to the discussion on Iced Tea vs Proper Tea (not that there should be _any_ discussion, as Real Tea is clearly superior.  Hot tea > Iced tea any day of the week, as long as you don't live in Texas or somewhere else with daytime temperatures in excess of 30C or around 90F).

Ah Pookha you make tea just exactly the way my Texan husband does! However, worry not fellow Brits, I have a fix - I fill my tea cup with the offending cold tea then microwave it to hot, but not boiling. Add a little milk (raw whole milk, non of this homogenized or pasteurized stuff) and enjoy :)

(of course this in nowhere near as good as proper hot tea with milk made from 'scratch' using Tetley loose tea in my teapot, but I love my hubby and make the best of it)

This would be good to serve on the upcoming Easter weekend for all your family. Enjoy!

Ethiopian Chicken

Prep time: 2 hours

Cook time: 2 hours

Ingredients:

          2 Large whole chickens

         2 cups salt

         2 cups cayenne red pepper

        3 gallons hot tea

        9 sticks butter

       1 gallon heavy cream

        2 cups milk

Preparation:

       1. stuff everything in the chicken except the milk

      2. cook on 500 degrees for 2 hours

     3. serve warm with chimichurri sauce

    4 drink milk to get taste out of your mouth, as we all know that hot tea is horrible, and totally ruins the flavor of this amazing dish.
