Yes, there is a pun involved in that, but I'll just leave it to your imagination. ;)
So I finally got my fiber to the house hookup yesterday. For the first time in my life I can see download speeds at Mbps and have a REAL HD connection to my TV.
I've been wanting to put the PTS server for ESO back on my computer, but first was the dying harddrive and shortly after I got that fixed I got a job and then the network got really hosed with my ISP. So I pretty much have played ESO and a little GW2 at speeds from dial up to maybe 400Kbps (about two weeks in May it was this good) and decided not to do anything major other than game updates and a try at ArchAge after the at least fixed the network backbone out my way.
Well, I'm going to have the full PTS from scratch done in FOUR HOURS! Way better than the like 28 to 30 hours it took before on a good day.
So pretty impressed with my no clogging network now!!! (Yes, further bad play on words intended) And no one else is on my pipe to the ISP so I won't see any bandwidth changes based on demand anymore to top off the awesomeness. Only I can make it try to do more than it should and I doubt that is going to happen at all.
