My Hero has fallen.

I've been away since ESO live launch.  More or less.  My energies have been focused elsewhere lately.

For those who know me.  You already know my father has been going through numerous health issues these past many years.

This year has been especially arduous.

My father passed quietly and comfortably early yesterday morning and is now at peace.

He lived his life in the service of others and we are all at a loss with his passing.

Sorry to hear this.  It really has been a long haul.  I know I talked to you quite often before you had to take time away from here.  Your online family is here for plenty of cyber hugs and to chat if you need to.

Thanks to everyone for your sympathies.

Being a lifelong Firefighter my Dad touched the lives of an enormous number of people.  I was well aware of this throughout my life, and yet so many paying their respect still overwhelmed me.  His brothers in service were there for us at this difficult time, and in force.  Making visitation yesterday and services today that much more emotional.  They provided a rotating honor guard during visitation with a fire truck out front all day yesterday.  They also provided three of our pallbearers and a fire truck with lights on for the procession to the cemetery at today's services.  Truly incredible.  I will never forget this day.  The loss is painful, but my memories of this day will be joyful.
