I tried PvE for the first time this weekend.  Kind of ok, but I'm not sure I like the Engineer class enough to continue with it.  I may try a caster.

I think just exploring has been my favourite part so far.

If anyone else is levelling up a new character, and wants some company, look me up evenings EST.

I find the engineer very hard to master and use. The ranger is very fun and versatile. It took me forever to figure out how to use the Ele but now I'm a powerhouse of healing and might areas. I loved leveling the guardian! The necromancer was a challenge but very rewarding. I still don't know how to use the thief or the mesmer.

How late in the evenings do you play? I'm until 10 or 11 EST because I'm more of a morning person.

Definitely a morning person here as well.

Last night I was on until 10pm.  Some nights, I'm in bed by 9pm.  So either way, not what would one would consider late.

I will look for you this week.  Cheers!

My main is an engineer and they are a tough nut to crack.... they are really exceptional as group support by doing damage and healing but can solo pretty effectively after you get into the 30's and get some of the tricks up your sleeve.  Before 30 you have to pick your fights and prepare accordingly.  The necro is an awesome soloing machine - but after you get high enough to have wells or learn to use your marks effectively by laying them down between you and the mobs and then drawing them through them and you get to watch them melt as they run to you.

Read through the classes and builds section and you will probably pick up some pointers for any class you choose to play - even though they are older threads - they are still quite valuable.

Safe Journey
