A few of us went into Fractals for the first time and got stuck on the second one and decided to leave it there as we lacked more interrupts. Hence, decided to help others who may have no idea what they are getting themselves into a resource for those times you just have to look something up :D

The above is a guide to all the fractals and it may not be perfect (since I've not done them all or have lots of experience) but at least it is a stepping stone.

For one, it answers the question Mira had mid fight in the Underground Facility of "Will our dead bodies weigh down the button?" and the answer is: YES! Apparently needed for higher level fractals or the use of an Ash Legion Spy Kit.

I've left a few tips like that in my post as well, such as laying dead on the button, maybe you can find something useful there too http://www.gaiscioch.com/tavern/guildwars_raiding/post_48652.html the mini boss in the ascalon lvl is literally named after dulfy due to her contribution to the gw2 community

I gave the guide a good read over again for the Underground Facility because we had that with Mira first in the morning, avoided it all day, then with Sinasazi and a few guildies we (I convinved Marrra :P) would do it to see if we could get past it. So once again, get to the Ice Elemental boss and couldn't manage our interrupts to stop it from healing. The rest of my night ended up being the "Which of my toons can handle more interrupts?" game :P

Ice Elemental boss? Interrupt healing? If its the fight I'm thinking of, you don't have to interrupt it. Not all classes have interrupts, so that's not really a required mechanic for anything in this game. Keep in mind that GW2 is not designed to require ANY particular class, or class mechanic, to defeat an encounter. Sure, some mechanics make life easier, but nothing is required for victory.

most teams that fail at the dredge boss failed at the part of not kiting the boss under the bucket and letting it always have the super heated debuff, the interrupt is probably less a key to that level my advice would be to make sure you are kiting under that burnt area, and whoever he is chasing just dont mess it up and back away, run around the circle so the bucket hits immobolize works too

Our two attempts we had no real issues with kiting. The first time was better than the second run with that I admit at times. The real issue ended up the interrupts. I don't know how much latency can affect that either. IE someone with 300 ping (Oceanic) vs those who are closer to the servers (up to 50-80 ping). I'm going to attempt it next time we do it as my warrior (and we all want to do it and not just me being masochistic/sadistic :P) who will be using 2 maces to have an array of interrupts :P EDIT: I should have read the other reply that was done (Sekker) before I responded :P The wiki entry has this: Alternate Boss Legendary Rampaging Ice Elemental Similar to the Powersuit fight, lure the boss under the molten buckets to make the boss vulnerable to attacks. The boss also summons smaller Veteran Ice Elementals that respawn when killed. The Elemental will occasionally visibly kneel and start healing the damage he has taken. The group should Interrupt the heal by using a stun or knockdown skill on him, even if he is otherwise immune to the interrupting effect. This should be a priority for the group, since any healed damage will need to be re-inflicted, prolonging the fight. A necromancer's flesh golem's charge ability can also interrupt this.

That doesn't change my comment. Its not critical to interrupt its healing, the group just has to learn how to kite between two buckets and constantly keep the burning effect on it. The key is having all of the DPSers ball up on top of each other and staying in front of the boss, so that it is moving between buckets at optimum speed. If someone can interrupt its heal, then it goes a lot quicker. I learned that the hard way. My first fight was with a novice group and omg, took us about an hour, we almost gave up. Then I later ran it with someone experienced, and we were done in about 5-10m, no hiccups. I was on Zuul and feared it when it bunkered into heal state, but sometimes I mistimed it, wasn't critical.

Ah okay, so if I read that right: He only heals IF you let the debuff run out on him? I think those of us who were in there those two tries just need to get some practice. A few of us raided/dungeoned in WoW and we are so very very much out of practice :P

No, it occasionally goes into a heal mode, that's part of the script. You just want to always keep him debuffed and doing consistent DPS on him, so that when he does do the heal, it doesn't make a critical difference if you can not interrupt it. In other words, a constant and consistent debuff = a quicker fight.

I think I want to run this with an experienced group to see how it goes. Mentally I have what you have described in my head and determined that I will run one via Raid Call (2nd try wasn’t via RC) and I am determined we WILL get it done :D EDIT: Marrra is going to hate me :P

I think Zoe was the one who ran us through the fractals, showed us some of the tricks.
