Season 1 achievement chests

Was looking on forums and see EU got their Season 1 WvW meta achievement chests. Pretty underwhelming if you ask me. You can expect something like:

8 greens
3 yellows
1 taste of liquid wxp (10k)
mini dolyak
100 dragonite ore
100 empyreal fragments
5 scrolls of knowledge
9 tomes of knowledge 
500 luck

In other words, the gold and exp equivalent of about what you would expect from 3-4 hours playing wvw. Look at the bright side, if there is a season 2, all the pve'ers are not going to waste their time for this crap.

I was afraid it would be something like this - but still worked my butt off to get a key.... I mean what am I suppose to do with :

mini dolyak - if I can't sell it will just sit in my bank - I never use these
100 dragonite ore - I don't craft and they won't let me sell them... destroyed
100 empyreal fragments - see above
5 scrolls of knowledge - all my characters are level 80
9 tomes of knowledge - again all my characters are lvl 80 and I also have more points than I know what to do with on all of them

The other stuff I will break down since I doubt they sell for much on the market.

But... I do have fun in WvWvW so I will continue to go to the BG's - I just might not try so hard to get a key... I've been seeing yaks in my sleep lately :)

Don't forget the Title and 300+ achievement points you got.  

Achievement points mean squat to me. I want some sweet loot! Haha!

Seriously though, I understand anet wanting to avoid making the reward too good. That would just exacerbate the population imbalance problem. However, I really think they under-rewarded this. You can get ascended gear from fractals and tequatl. This achievement was much much harder to get than those. I feel bad for pve'ers who came out to wvw to get the achievements. I would have gotten like 80% of these by just playing wvw regularly, but they had to get stomped for 7 weeks for next to no reward.

This is what I got.  Basically the list Osu mentioned minus the Rare's and two Tomes of Knowledge.  I wasn't expecting anything useful out of it, anyone that spends the majority of their time in WvW should know that it has never been, nor will it ever be, a profitable or loot filled venture.  Bad luck to those that paid to transfer to Blackgate or one of the other top tier servers in the hopes that they would get a free ride to a precursor, all I feel is schadenfreude for those that did.

The only thing I was disappointed in, was that we didn't get a unique and exclusive skin.  It would have been really nice to get the ever elusive Stalwart cap that the Tower Champions wear.

Now that you mention the transfers... I wonder how many might just transfer back off?   Probably not many since it costs money - but I imagine they were disappointed by all of this.

Skin would have been nice. Maybe a t-shirt chest piece that says "I got flags rammed up my butt for 7 weeks and all I got was this lousy t-shirt."
