So...I broke my husband's website....

I was working on updating my husband's blog for extra-life, and tried to change a link attached to the "donate" picture. Somehow I managed to make the site forward you directly to an extra-life.org participant page, but I put I added a '1' so it takes you to one of those "oops this page doesn't exist" pages instead. When I tried to re-edit the link, it automatically forwarded me and I can't edit it. 

It's a blogspot site. (brettforextralife.blogspot.com) I would appreciate anyone that could help me fix it. =D Reply here or send me a pm. It would be great if I could get it fixed before the weekend. 

brettforextralife.blogspot.org gives sends me to another page BUT brettforextralife.blogspot.com redirects me to http://www.extra-life.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.participant&participantID=466781

Go to http://www.blogger.com login and then on the settings you should be able to edit the URL where it sends you to.

I just noticed that I had the wrong site name, thanks for checking that. I tried to log in and change the url, but it redirects me right away. Before I can even edit it.

I'm confused:  So you click the Edit button and instead of bringing up a box to edit the URL, it just opens up a child window to the erroneous EL webpage?

 edit: also what browser are you using?  I do not recognize the layout.

edit #2:  Ok, so after peeking at the source code for the blog page, it looks like you've somehow configured that widget to operate as an iframe.  Meaning, that even if you had the correct URL, it would still automatically redirect away from the blog page.  That would be the priority to fix, so I wouldn't worry about editing the URL to make it correct, so much as going back and undoing whatever changes that you made to that widget section.  I'm guessing that it wasn't like that before, so maybe you checked a box or setting?

Sorry, I'm not familiar with that site to be able to suggest much more than a generalization, but the page redirection should definitely not be happening, therefore judging by the simplicity of the site editing tool, its just got to some setting that was erroneously enabled.

Was going to check this out, but I haven't written in my blog in like 9 months and well, now it all got rolled into Google and I have to go figure out how to reset my password and what not.  So can't help you at the moment by looking at the setup.  Not sure what I'm going to do since my blog is pretty dead anyway.  

I will say Sekkerhund is probably right in that you set something else by accident in the process so it wants to autoroute there.  Best suggestion I have is trying to figure out if there is even support you can contact to figure it out, but alas it probably wouldn't be fixed in time for the event either.  Don't think there is fast help for blogger.
