Hosfi's HK Run

By:

Hosfi
Draoi na Aracos
GW2: ringlhach.6018

Posted On: 05/22/2012 at 02:57 PM

There's something all of you will want to keep in mind before continuing down this thread: this is not a Gaiscioch-only run. It contains a number of others who are in other guilds. Don't complain about not being able to get into the raid because they're there. They were part of the raid this grew out of when I took over fron Xe; I'm not going to boot them because you feel like you deserve a shot. If they decide to leave the raid, that's between them and us, and unless you have a really good reason and preferably proof (screenshots, etc) of whatever your problem is with them, I'm liable to just ignore you.

Loot Rules

Loot mod, which may be used on relics, hexed pieces, unstable catalysts, and dark pulsing crystals, increases by +20 at the end of a raid night up to a maximum of +100. Winning a roll with mod will cause the mod to decrease by 50, effective immediately. Causing your total loot mod to be less than 0 in this manner will make your loot mod unusable until it is again greater than 0.

Main spec is defined based on what you do in the HK raid, not what your actual main spec is outside of the raid. Roqstar and Kadiskas, for example, are both tanks; however, for the purposes of the HK raid, they are DPS. Off-specs are listed FYSA only.

One opposed main-spec loot roll.

No limit on unopposed main-spec and off-spec rolls.

No limits on trash rolls.

Don't expect this section to be updated too often; I keep in on a *.ods file on my hard drive, and I try to update it before the raids based on screenshots. If, for some reason, I don't have a screenshot, I'm stuck with going down the list and updating everyone unless I specifically remember them not being able to make that one for whatever reason.

Loot Mods below are current as of 24JUN12.

Thorval........... 100

For those of you who want to get into the raid- please post your unbuffed, numerical hit/focus, AP/SP, phys/spell crit, and relevant primary stat. Tanks, please also include your self-buffed armor, toughness, HP, and mitigation percentages; the raw numbers for those mean exactly nothing to me.

EDIT: Also include your numerical water resist; we are doing the upper floor now, and you will need a water resist sigil. If you've got the currency for it, the Barnacle Encrusted Sigil of the Five includes an automatic +20, and you can rune your sigil now, so that'll be another +20.

This is copied from my old guild forum regarding general raid and loot policy. This describes the loot system and general code of conduct that has worked for us for many years. The guild is known as "Nu Tir" in WoW, and "Night Watch" In SWTOR. The terminology used pertains to SWTOR, but easily translates to Rift.
____________________________________

Z'code is the core of what's expected in all NW and guild activity, and outline what's expected in general

Z'rules are

3) No Lameness
2) No Drama
1) Have Fun

Show up on time. Remember other folks are waiting for you. Check in 15 minutes before the raid. If you haven't checked in 10 minutes before scheduled start, you may be replaced by a standby player.
If anyone thinks another person has broken Z'code or Z'rules, and they can't let it pass without having hard feelings about it, then that person should talk to the other person about it and try to work things out together as soon as they can.
If they can't work it out or decide to let it pass, they should ask some of their friends to come into the discussion to help.
If that doesn't work, they can ask officers to come into the discussion to help work things out.
If all that doesn't resolve things, then we'd again ask people if they can forgive and let it pass in the interest of Z'rules or have fun and live well elsewhere.

II. Shroud Loot System.

All bids are done via tell to the designated loot master for the bid.
Shroud Bids cost half your points or a minimum of 10, highest wins. 10 points are required to bid shroud. In the case of a tie, Roll to determine a winner.
Standard bids cost 10 points. Roll procedure determines the winner
Save bids cost 10 points. Roll to determine the winner
Shrouds beat Standards which beat Saves. Bid type determines interest level. A bidder may choose to pass their priority before loot is awarded; in which case, the item is awarded to the next-highest bidder.
There is no minimum point requirement to bid standard or save, however negative point totals are reset to 0 immediately following any purchase.

A. Acceptable Use. When you win an item, it's yours. Use Z'code and Z'rules as your guide to what you do with it.
B. Loot Griefing or Cheating. Getting griefed or griefing about loot is very lame, tends to be filled with drama, and is not fun. The same is true of trying to get unfair advantage in getting items by working secretly in sub-groups (collusion), or any other cheating.

III. Loot Process

A. Loot Drops. When an item drops that is appropriate to be bid on, the loot master will link the item in Ops and call for /tell bids to be made. Anyone interested in the item(s) should /tell the loot master with their level of interest (Save, Standard, or Shroud) at this time.

B. Bidding Period. The loot master will announce when the bidding period is closing. Once bids are closed, the loot master will look through the list of tells for the person with the highest bid level.

C. Shroud Bids. If there are Shroud bids, the loot master will check point totals of all Shroud bidders, and assign the item to the person with the highest point total.

D. Standard Bids. If the highest bid is a Standard, Roll to determine the winner at that time.

E. Save Bids. If the highest bid is a Save bid, Roll to determine the winner.

F. No Competitors. If there is only one bid of a given type and that would win the bid, no roll is needed. If the winning bid is a Shroud bid, but no other Shroud or Standard bids are made, the Shroud bidder is automatically downgraded to Standard. In the case of multiple items, if the total number of Shroud and Standard bids are equal to or fewer than the total number of items, all Shroud bids will be downgraded to Standard. Shroud is ONLY used in order to gain priority; if it is not necessary to gain priority for the item, the bid is downgraded.

G. Winners. When announcing a winner, the loot master announces the roll type and point total (if shroud) and should give a brief window to allow for possible corrections or passes before loot is finalized.

H. Conflicts of Interest. Conflicts of interest can be lame and generate drama. If the Loot Master desires to bid anything other than a save on an item, he/she should do everything reasonable to find another individual to receive bids for that particular item as the Proxy Loot Master for that particular roll.

IV. Loot Categories

A. Bind on Pickup Items. Any item that drops that is Bind on Pickup (BoP) and is not distributed automatically to the entire raid by the game's loot systems will use the loot procedure, unless the item is of uncommon quality, or unless it's been decided otherwise in advance, or the leads of the run decide differently based on common sense and Z'code.
Un-purchased loot. If no one expressed an interest in Shroud, Standard or Save, the item can be left to rot, vendored and shared, or dealt with in reasonable way that doesn't violate Z'code, especially by inadvertently encouraging people to avoid paying points for items.
B. Bind on Equip Gear. Any wearable gear that is of above green quality that may drop, to include world-drop items, must be offered for bids. However, since the items are BoE, they may be collected by the loot master and held until the end of the raid in the interest of saving time and momentum. It is considered lame to shroud or standard on an item that you intend to to DE or sell. If no bids are taken on the item, the leads of the run will decide what best to do with them in order to best follow Z'code.
C. Patterns and Crafting Mats: Patterns and mats that are a raid-only drop are to be offered for points either at the time they drop or later if it's more convenient. If no one wants the item, the leads of the run will decide what to do with them to best follow Z'code.
OPTIONAL: The leads of a run may choose to have all patterns and mats go directly to leader discretion, but should declare this before any items drop.
D. Non-Bind Raiding Items. Any item that is not covered in another section, and is available solely through raid instances or purchasable via raid badges, that may drop during a raid will be distributed at the discretion of the leads of the run. This will be announced at the start of the run.q

V. Points Earning

Points earning for a raid are based on time spent in the raid. Players are awarded four points per hour, rounded to the nearest minute.
Night Watch uses these rules for all Hard and Nightmare mode Ops runs, as well as Story Mode runs of the current top tier of operations. Points are neither earned nor spent on Normal mode runs or time spent on Normal mode content.

Not sure how I feel about your loot mod system, Azchire- it looks complicated as heck, and the whole "bid" thing irks me for some reason. Interesting system, just a little too complicated for my taste.

Hey Hos

I hear you are starting into ID. If there is room I'd like to join :). Need Rogue DPS/Tank I would like to join if possible starting next week. I cannot commit for HK runs however as I am in a group. I know you know my specs and have an idea of performance but... here they are as it stands now

Tank: 2 builds - max HP and TdT:
HP range: 16931 - 20666 (unbuffed except guardian phase, depending on equips and build)
Deflect: 809 - 923
Hit: 428 Tough: 252
AP: 728 - 794
Fire resist: 139 (can bring it up quickly but would rather prioritize ISS depending on role etc)

DPS: 51 Rng, 51 MM, Bloodstalker
Hit: 425
AP (in my fire resist sigil, partially constructed): Rng: 1278, MM: 1356, Blood: 1436
Fire resist: 83 (can bring it up, but see above)

I know 49 NB also if needed can easily swap brainless ranger for it. Later on willing to modify bloodstalker to drainstalker

Can bard in theory.

Thanks.
