Again family, I just want to let you all know that my 2nd book is available via Ibooks, Diesel-Ebooks, Smashwords, etc.  I know this seems like a shameless plug (and it may well be), but I'm a desk-job guy with a 1 year old that just wants to write for a living.  I also love MMO's :)

If you know anyone that would be interested in my books, I'd really appreciate a little sharing.  My marketing department (i.e. anyone that will listen) is slim.

My book info is in my signature.  Even if that genre isn't for you, you may know someone who may dig it.

See you in game.  Thanks for taking the time to read!

I read the first ten pages. I liked it. Its not my genre, but your style of writing adds to the story. I wasn't distracted by it, and could delve into Ben a little. Poor Ben at the beginning and whammo, life has changed. I'll read a little more when I get a chance to see if its something I would buy. I would love to support a budding writer. How do you like smashwords so far?

I like Smashwords quite a bit actually. They are pretty legit. It's nice that they hook me up with Barnes and Noble as well as IBooks, so more people get a chance to read it. I highly recommend them. Thank you so much for giving it a chance! It's so hard to advertise when the market is so flooded.

I am a literature lover, and always willing to support budding authors (as I hope to be one myself one day). The description for Willowbrook sounds very intriguing and I will be reading a few pages here soon. Good luck with getting the word out there!

Cliff, all I can say is that it is hard, trying, terrible, and wonderful. Keep writing. Never stop, no matter what. You'll get there, and when you do, it'll be worth it. Keep me posted!! I hope you enjoy Willowbrook and its mysteries. If you enjoy, please let the world know. If not, yell at them anyway :)

So I got to chapter 3 on smashwords. Its very good. I am going to go home and buy a digital copy. I'll check out your vampire book in a little bit as well. Nicely done. I hope some more Giascioch take a look at your work. Its worth seeing a member doing amazing things in real life, tangable, real, and entertaining. I'll let some of my friends outside this community know as well after I finish Willowbrook. :)

Have you submitted your work to an agent? For those who write (and I'm one of you!), there are some fantastic books on writing out there. Pick up 'The Art of Creative Writing'. It's the textbook for a creative writing course, but it was extraordinarily helpful. One of my other favorites is 'Bird by Bird' by Anne LaMott. She's hilarious. You'll love some of her ideas. Yes, I'm working on a novel, too, called "The Gryffoniers".

The book I am writing is called -Twin Realms- and takes place in a mental hospital. Its actually urban fantasy mixed with epic fantasy with the flash backs and recalling of the past with dreams and hypnotherapy. The charachters are thought to be mentally insane but as the reader knows they are from a diffrent realm. They find themselves in a struggle both ancient and powerfull and find there truer potentials as they progress through there trials with peers and staff and others who are not as they seem. Work in progress and takes forever to get a single chapter just right. The creation of entirely diffrent world/realm that co-exsists with our own in a believalbe way takes alot of time. Keeping the urban feel without actually dating the book with modern specific references is a huge struggle. I want the timeless feel, yet have it post industrial and information age. Referencing specific areas within the U.S. without giving specifics of exactly where in a city but still be believable, because urban land scape does change and I don't want the book to get outdated so easily. I got the story written in rough version, but getting it all to jive the way I want is taking much longer than the first draft did. Adding the texture to the book with descriptions of lighting, smells, sounds, that all enhance the setting takes time as well. Going back and taking out all the repetitive words and coming up with diffrent ways of saying the same person, place, hallway, dorm room, nurses station, staff, etc... takes time. I went huge on my first novel, and I wouldn't have it anyother way. Its the story I've had in my head for a long time and finally got to writing when I changed jobs within my career that gave me more free time. I never aspired to be a writer untill recently because the story needed to come out or I was going to explode from within. :) I see the same love of writing with Spanyells work. And I have great admiration for him getting it out in digital form in a completed work. I hope everybody who sees these posts gives his books a try.

@ Jaeonasi, I used to do the who agent thing but it got so expensive. The way I look at it these days is that I like to write, I'm going to anyway, I might as well have it out there for anyone who is interested to give it a shot. If I make it big, SWEET! If not, at least I can say I tried. @Cliff, Again, thank you so much for your words of encouragement for my work. I am truly humbled. @All of you who are still "working on it," don't give up. It's a ton of work but it's also very rewarding. And let me know if/when you get them published. I'll likely be your first customer.
