Fishin', yo!

I'm slowly easing my way back into the game. I thought a good way to do that would be to do the fishing achievements that I never got around to doing. I don't want the game to feel like a job. Not yet, anyway. So, fishing is a good segway to that. I had already completed Craglorn, and this week I've finished Eastmarch and worked on Stonefalls and Deshaan. I know Gwynhefar will be running fishing events over the next few weeks, so if you're interested in doing that, look for it on the calendar.

Things can really change in a year.

I took a break from ESO, mainly because I have 3 very busy teenagers. In hindsight, I think I was burned out, and others were, too. Being burned out and playing with other burned out players just makes one want to give it up. So, I did. And wow, things have really changed in the game since I took that break!

It's a good thing! So many things have changed that it's almost like a completely different game. And it's always good to run into old friends, and make new ones. I'm ready for a break from life, so it's time to dive deep into the game I loved for 3 years, and give it some love again.

Family side, I have 2 seniors in high school, and a junior. They were all in Marching Band this year; my oldest daughter was drum major, my son plays trumpet and my youngest daughter did color guard. My oldest daughter was accepted into her first choice college, and will be majoring in Music Education next fall. My son (her twin) is working at school in a computer science block, and wants to try community college in the fall...

Update on Me

Yes, I know. You're all wondering "Where did Khaleesi go?!" Well, I'm here to tell you, it's been the busiest 6 or so weeks of my life. Most of my regular guild friends know that I went on a cruise at the beginning of this year, and it was fantastic! There's nothing more exhilarating than jumping into the ocean when you know it's -13 degrees at home.

Let's talk about the fun stuff before the bad stuff. A group of about 15 people all went on a cruise to the Bahamas together. We've been planning this since about March 2015, so we were ready! The group we traveled with consisted of my husband and myself, paired along with two other couples, whom we're close friends with. We got a condo in Orlando and spent a few days in town before the cruise. We played mini golf (something we all like to do) and my husband bounced his putter into the nearby lake. He was excited, went to throw it in a celebratory fashion, and the rubber handle hit ground, bounced over a rope net, and dropped straight into the lake next to the course...

Wrothgar Relic Hunter Notes (Orsinium Museum Pieces)

Credit to James-Wayne on the ESO forums for providing this information. I am sharing it here because it is good information to have.

**The Agra Chun and Uzdabikh's Helm are not listed on the map since they are found via the intro quest.

The First Charter: Atop Exile's Barrow near a campfire next to a skeleton.

Dwemer Light: Travel to the Nyzchaleft Falls World Boss and while facing the boss locate the right tower. In the middle of the tower is a tree with a skyshard and to one side on the wall is a set of dwemer cog wheels. Head to the left to find the Dwemer Light behind some pipes with two cogwheels on the ground.

Trinimac House Idol: Located to the right of the entrance to Paragon's Remembrance is 2 tents with a cooking fire. The relic is found in the smaller tent inside the flipped over crate on the right side.

Guthragh's Mask: This Relic is located close to Farhun's Stronghold and can be found northeast of the Stronghold, at the top of a watchtower. Take the path leading up the mountain from inside Farhun’s stronghold and once you locate the tower take the stairs to the top of the tower to find the Mask on a pillar...

I've been a busy lady!

I haven't been able to play much of ESO the past few weeks. I have 3 teenagers in high school, and getting them from marching band practice, to instrument lessons, to fundraisers, to football games, picking up from after school activities, and finding time during the day to do all the other things I need to and play this game have been quite daunting. BUT, I think I finally got a bit of a balance going and will have some free time to play the new expansion on Monday.

In addition to my kids staying busy with school and extra curricular events, I also am in a skee-ball league that plays on Monday nights. It's a fun time, something different to do, gives me a chance to hang out with some of my friends weekly.

This week, I also have been helping my friend out with his tax business. In the "off season" he has small projects he needs help with, but nothing to keep me constantly working. It at least gives me something to keep my brain from going stir crazy. Plus, I rather enjoy it...

For a Friend

I haven't been around much the last week, but I had heard some unsettling things about a particular situation that happened, and I just had some general thoughts about it.

This person knows who they are, and I just want you to know that you are always welcome to come on adventures with me. Always. No matter what you want to do, no matter what weapons you bring, armor you wear, abilities you use, food you eat, you are NEVER not included from anything I have going on. You are welcome with open arms, and we shall have shenanigans and many fun adventures.

I know there are places you don't think you can go, but you can. And there are other people who are more than happy to join, too. All you have to do is ask, and we'll be there.

This is my virtual hug for you. (:)\/<

At the end of the day, it's all just a game anyway. So why take things so seriously? Just log in, kill things, and have fun.

That's all I really had to say.

Changes to AvA

With the upcoming changes to ESO PvP, I believe it's time for the guild to officially choose a Home and Guest campaign. If you're wondering what's coming, read this:

http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/180480/pvp-update-june-2015

There's going to be some MAJOR changes. We're going to have to work together more than we have before, and it's going to cause issues if we don't.

Just my opinion, but I hope that someone takes this seriously, otherwise we may not be playing PvP together anymore.....

A little too quiet?

By the title, I mean me. I haven't been writing much lately, about excursions and skirmishes. I probably should be, but I haven't. I've been working at my friend's office while his assistant is on vacation. I told him I'd be happy to do it until my kids are out of summer school. So now, I suppose, is as good a time as any to chat about things, right?

AvA.... oh how I love to hate you. I have a love/hate relationship with AvA. I love to go, but hate how it doesn't even truly seem like PvP. It kinda feels like you're running around with your head cut off just waiting to do something important. So AD's gonna hide in the Mine tower? Let's just siege them from the keep for an hour while they run around aimlessly. It's redundant, boring and quite frankly I'm sick of the stupid games AD players are playing in AvA. Let's spam Meteor to lag up the server so we can steal a scroll without incident. Let's run around in circles and farm the other factions because we don't have anything better to do...

A Promotion, and a Reflection

So I'm apparently a Laoch now, meaning I'm a guide and I've helped in annihilation of many enemies in ESO. In my next step, should I choose to accept it, is to become a leader. I'm really not quite sure how to feel about that. Heck, I'm lucky enough to get myself around, let alone lead a group of people.

While I wouldn't mind the option, I don't think I'm going to push it. I'll ease myself into a position as leader. I hate being the one to tell people what to do. I'm more of a go-with-the-flow kind of person. I like to come to a group decision of what to do, where to go, what to explore or defeat.

I've already cut back on how much I play, however if I were to be a guide, I could easily go exploring without ever actually having to "lead" and rather, just be a guide. I could be okay with that.

In other updates to my personal character, I've continued to work in Cyrodiil, slowly gaining ranks there. I've also been trying to do more of the writs to obtain Nirncrux, but with no luck...

Been a bang up time!

Lately, I've been working in Cyrodiil trying to level up my Alliance position there. I'm only level 11, which is pretty pathetic considering this game is a year old. And now there's a reason to hit up those dolmens with the new siege available by hitting them.

I've also been working on leveling my other skills that are not 50, mostly in particular my Two-Handed greatsword skills. I've been using other skills I don't normally use, leveling them and using to use them to my or my group's advantage.

I look forward to working Upper Craglorn soon, as others have also shown an interest. It's the only area where I have Skyshards left to collect (my last 3, in fact), and where I have uncompleted quests.

So, in short, Dolmens and leveling in Cyrodiil, level up non-50 skills, and Upper Craglorn are my priorities.

I'm a Thief!

So, I've been super busy the past few weeks. However, I've been able to have the time to level up to 18 in thieving. I've kept a few trinkets, only because I found them to be weird (like I now have a vast collection of teeth) or maybe at some point useful? I have a feeling (I could be wrong, probably am, but whatever) that some of this will actually be able to be used at some point. On the hopes that will happen, I've kept a few interesting pieces.

Once I get to 20, other than stealing, finding ingredients for foods (all you beverage makers, watch the guild bank; I'm laundering all my stolen ingredients and putting all beverage items in the bank), and doing an occasional run, I really don't know what else I can do with this game on a singular level. Anything else I'd have to get a team together for, and no one ever seems to want to team up. I'd really like to complete the remaining quests in Craglorn I've never done. I'd like to get all the vet Dungeons done at some point (though many of them are very difficult)...

PTS 1.6

Let me start out by saying, yes, one of the first things I did was kill a bard. Past that, here we go.

First off, over the course of a few hours the past two nights, I have managed to get to level 7 of the Thieving class (there's some long L word they use for it, but I don't care because ESO doesn't even call being a Werewolf Lycanthropy).

I have been doing the majority of my thieving in Craglorn, specifically in Belkarth. You level up by pickpocketing, breaking into houses, and lockpicking strongboxes you find. There are a few places you can find the strongboxes (which I believe they call Safe Boxes, but basically mini-chests that contain high $$ loot).

* Star Gazer's. There are 2 locations on the first floor. One behind the desk where the Magister is located (there's a cubby area before the stairs, the desk is on the left wall). The second location is located directly across the way, where the Armsman is located. The strongbox is in the corner on the right side of the area...

Things I've done this week

So, this week hasn't really been about grinding. It's been about achievements.

* I got General Executioner, killing my last General in The Rift.
* I got Anchor Devastator by defeating 250 total dolmens.
* I was fortunate enough to join a group and complete Hel Ra Citadel (my first Trial)
* I also got to blow the War Horn in Hel Ra (WOO)
* I got Writ Upon the Sky, for completing 250 crafting writs.

I hope to complete lower Craglorn at some point, as I have The Missing Guardian left of the Celestial Investigation collection. I have already completed all the Lower Crag dungeons with help from some guildies, and some other friends in game.

I also have only 2 Skyshards left to collect in Upper Crag, also both in dungeons that I have yet to complete.

And just maybe, someday I will find something Nirn.

ESO B2P Summary / Thoughts

I'm not transcribing verbatim, but rather watching the ESO Live Special Edition and commenting on sections as they cover the material.

The first 10 minutes was a video of something. What that was, I don't know, but two guys were fighting, the winner walked off then a chick stabbed the loser like it was her finishing move or something.

Then comes the reasoning as to why the subscription fee is being removed. It really comes down to the console editions being released. No one was going to pay for a monthly sub on a console, in addition to a sub on a game. I think that's partially why the console release was delayed a year. They are calling ESO Plus a way to get "premium" access to content.

Anyone wanting to play on console will get everything up to 1.6 included with their purchase. IF you are a member of ESO Plus, then you will also get the DLC and other premium updates.

The game as it currently is will stay as it is. It's not being taken away from. The game you are playing today is what you will be able to play when the games goes B2P...

New things are fun!..... sometimes

Today, I romped with the guild to kill some dolmens. I still have over 100 before I get the Dolmen Crusher achievement (or whatever it's properly called).

I then printed off the list of General locations for dolmens, and was able to get one of the 6 I was missing -- The Ever Open Eye in Shadowfen. I still have 3 in Deshaan, 1 in Shadowfen and 1 in The Rift. Trying to clear those dolmens solo in The Rift isn't all that easy, though.

Still working on Monster Hunter. I'm very close to getting my Daedra Slayer done. I finished Flame Atronachs today when I completed Village of the Lost public dungeon. [Side note: on the Public Dungeon front, I have completed all dungeons, and have one Group Challenge left in Toothmaul Gulley, which is in Auridon] I still have about 30 Storm and Frost Atronachs to kill, and quite a few Flesh Atronachs. I need to find a low level area where I can kill Storm and Frost, because they don't seem to spawn very often in the dolmens, only the Flesh and that's usually only in Eastmarch or higher...

Ultimate Beef Tacos!

So, I'm trying to filter through the massive amount of information regarding the newest update with the Champion System. I don't know what to say about it, because the information is cumbersome and overwhelming. But, hey, who can complain about Ultimate Beef Tacos?! Better than Honey Brittle that looks like a steak, right? :D

In case you're wondering, here's a transcription of the ESO Live video, so you don't have to watch it. If you're like me, and like to read the information, transcription is so much better.

In any case, I've been collecting high level mats in Craglorn as of late, and purchased the Imperial motif today, making it official that I know every type of craft, minus the nirnhoned trait. I haven't found one item with that trait.

And on the questing front, I have one Public Dungeon to complete, and a few to get the group challenge done in, all in AD. And I need to complete more of Craglorn...

It just keeps getting better

So, my goal this week has been to finish as many of the public dungeons as I can, since I never got around to it. I've got 3 left, all in Vet level areas. I've been able to clear most of them on my own, and a few with help from fellow guildies. :)

I've also knocked Lightbringer and Crime Pays off my achievement list. Two spots left for Give to the Poor.

I'm a few ticks shy from being a level 10 in Cyrodiil. I haven't been doing much of Cyrodiil lately, mainly because it feels like walking into a trap everytime I go there.

Still have lots of dolmens to take down, lots of atronachs to take down, and what the hell with the collectibles? Those are about as rare as finding an oil well in my backyard. I mean, seriously, is that even an attainable achievement?

In other news, I made a new character. Yes, it's something I said I would probably never do, but I had a super funny name and an idea that I wanted to try my hand at being an Imperial. It's actually kinda fun. I've been running around barefist fighting, and depending on my skills alone...

Quite the Productive Day....

So, today, I finally reached VR14. I didn't look back to see when I hit VR13, but I know it's been a stretch. I wasn't really trying hard or grinding to get to VR14, I was trying to enjoy the game as a whole, try new things, etc.

Having said that, I also leveled to 50 in Enchanting and 50 in Resto Staff today as well. Like the title says -- productive day.

After I reached VR14, I made myself new armor. One major problem I have with the game is that, it seems when you craft your armor/weapon, and you have enough items to upgrade to 100%, that the item should upgrade and not fail at that level. I ended up having to recraft 4 pieces of armor because they all failed when I got to grain solvent (purple) and it takes quite a few of those to upgrade a piece. So I have 2 pieces of armor that are only blue for now, because of the failed pieces. BOOOOOOOOOO

My goal now is to work on Undaunted, Two Handed and Sword and Shield. These are my last 3 skills that are not level 50 (or top level in the case of Undaunted)...

My account may disappear for a few days....

So, we're going to be switching banks, and my subscription ends today. Didn't know that. Closed my old account already, and haven't got anything with the new account verified to be able to pay the fee. So, it's going to be a few days before I'm back, but don't think I left or anything. I still have plenty of joy setting enemies on fire, and plan to do so very soon. I should be back by mid-week. Until then, slay on, my friends!

It's the little things......

Just read the Family Summit email, and I have to say it's a bit disheartening. I joined this guild on the sole purpose of having a family to run with in ESO, and it appears as if come January 1, that's not going to be an option any longer. Therefore, I have suggestions, for those who even remotely care, about how you might get 20+ people in Family Events.

1 -- go where people want to go. Yes, I know the game is supposed to be primarily PvP, however it seems Zenimax has made the shift to delves and Craglorn. Not once have I seen a Family-run event there. It's always Cyrodiil, Cyrodiil, Cyrodiil. There's only so much you can do there, especially when it seems the other factions somehow overpower Ebonheart Pact. I don't know why, but when I've gone toe to toe with people several levels lower, I get my @$$ handed to me, and it gets old. Very, very old.

2 -- give people incentives to want to stay. We don't even have a guild store right now, and I know that costs money and it's a bid system and highest bid gets the store for a week...

Playing something other than ESO

So, I'm a fan of the Borderlands franchise. Played the first two games more times than I can count. Anyway, the new "pre-sequel" came out, and I played it for about 10 hours total. This game was produced by 2K's Australian publishing house, and honestly, I just didn't see the quality in this game that I saw in the other two. I found myself bored (even playing as Claptrap) and lost interest quickly. The story didn't progress at anywhere near the pace of the first two games, so you were forced to do many side quests that weren't even remotely interesting, and should have been.

For anyone who has played the Borderlands games, you know one of the entertainment perks of the game is that of Claptrap. I thought playing as the character, I would at least be amused. Alas, I was not. I'm very glad I decided to rent this game rather than buy it. If it goes on super sale (say, like, under $20) I'll probably buy it then, but as it stands, I was bored. :-/

I know, this is a gaming community, but....

Sometimes life intervenes. It's a cold, harsh world out there. I've been in a rut. My car died about a month ago, and we thought it was going to be an easy fix. Come to find out, it's not fixable (broken timing belt and cracked head gasket), so we have to buy a new car. I hated car shopping 7 years ago. Then again, I bought a car that had less than 5,000 miles on it, and was less than a year old so of course I expected it to last me longer than 7 years and 130,000 miles. I mean, seriously, I HATE CAR SHOPPING. I hate having to digest the fact that I'll have to make a car payment after I haven't had one for over 3 years. The whole idea of a payment, and getting a different car, I guess it's kinda depressing, stressful, heartwrenching..... ugh, someone come kill things with me in Craglorn.

Nov 2, update: So, after all the stress, hard work, hours spent researching.... we got a BRAND SPANKING NEW CAR! We purchased a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox! We're super excited and happy that we were able to get something we both liked...

Craglorn is fun! And I made a chart!

Okay, so first off, I made a chart. Like, I literally hand drew a chart like one would usually make in Excel, only for whatever reason I decided to actually write one out. It lists all the areas, and the 4 achievements I'm working on : Crime Pays, Give to the Poor, Lightbringer and Buy a Drink. Overall, I'm about 20% done with this overall. I mark off as I finish one, then move to the next spot to see if I can find one of these, and along the way, stop in the main town of the area and buy the Undaunted guild member a drink.

And then, there's Craglorn. Mij and I have been hitting it hard for the past few days. I'm about half way to VR 13 now, and we've beat about 5 dungeons there. Ms. Reeds tagged along a few nights ago, and tonight we were able to get 2 new members to join the guild!

We shall continue our conquest of Craglorn in the coming days..... adventure awaits us all!

Oh, M'aiq....

You never seem to be where you're supposed to be. I've found you in all but 5 locations: Shadowfen, Eastmarch, The Rift, Bangkorai and Betnikh. You're supposed to be found in a few different spots, but no matter how high or low I look, you're not there.

This also holds true for the Lightbringer achievement, the Crime Pays achievement, and Give to the Poor. I'm still buying beers for the Undaunted when I find them.

In all honesty, because all I have left are dungeons and Craglorn, I've been trying to keep myself occupied by leveling up skills that aren't at 50 yet, and doing these achievements. And I'm still working on Monster Hunter (need more Atronachs to finish it off).

Maybe, just maybe, Zenimax will work on some more individual quests, instead of adding large amounts of multiplayer. Yeah yeah, I know, TES hasn't ever been a multiplayer game until now, but should that mean that all additional content should be multiplayer? I'd like a new area, more missions to complete, something I don't need at least 12 people to do...

The Woes of the Lonely Veteran

So, I finished the entirety of the story line. Now the level cap is set to VR14. Craglorn is basically the only thing besides AvA that I can do, and no one holds AvA events during normal, working American hours. Unless there are more Craglorn runs or more Vet AvA events, I don't see myself continuing in this guild, or the game for that matter. I'm also just about done with all the titled achievements (short of AvA) so there's not much left for me to accomplish, except for in Craglorn, and you can't go there alone.

I had so much hope in playing this game long term, but it's beginning to be more of a hassle than a fun experience, because once you finish the solo story, there's nothing left to do. Sure, you could tell me to go fishing or work on my enchanting, but basically that's it. M'aiq is never where he's supposed to be, nor are the Lightbringer areas, Crime bosses you extort are rarely in their places, and I can't find enough Atronachs to finish my Monster Hunter achievement...

Exploration is Frustrating!

So, in addition to working on the Monster Hunter achievement, I am also working on some of the Exploration achievements as well. Crime Pays, Give to the Poor, I like M'aiq, Lightbringer and the Undaunted achievement where you get all your fellow Undaunted a drink in each of the towns listed. With the exception of the drinking buddies, I'm finding it difficult to track down the rest of these. Crime Pays is a merchant that you Intimidate and extort money from because they were cheating people. Give to the Poor is some poor sap with a sad story that you give a few coins to (I found one who claimed to have 17 kids), Lightbringer is where you find a group, or a person, with a campfire they can't light, and I Like M'aiq... well, who doesn't like M'aiq the Liar.

I have the Destinations add-on, but when I go to these places, and the general surrounding areas, many of these are not where they are supposed to be. I've tried the same area multiple times, thinking it's a timed "event," but still haven't had luck on very many of them...

Cadwell's Gold is in the bag

I beat the entire main storyline of ESO tonight. How long did it take me? 27 days, 17 hours (665 hours). I'm now working on achievements and titles, like Monster Hunter. I'm also updating my guide for Monster Hunter as I do this. I'm really only down to ghosts and some frost atronachs for the most part.

I also have Craglorn to defeat, but that takes a small army. I'll have to see about recruiting reinforcements for that feat.

Help a kid out! Don't let Arts Programs die!

Instead of posting this on the GSCH forums, I decided to post this here as a "blog" post.

For those who know me, know that I have 3 teenagers: 14 year old twins (boy and girl) and a 13 year old girl. My oldest daughter, Leanna, has recently been accepted into her second year playing viola for the Youth Symphony of Kansas City.

As per the requirements of the Youth Symphony of Kansas City, we are required to come up with $120 in charitable donations and 10 hours of volunteer time. I have already completed the 10 hours of volunteer time for the year, however we will still need donations.

These donations go directly to Youth Symphony to keep the organization afloat, and pay for things like the music each child receives, the time instructors put in to coach the kids, etc.

If anyone can help, please go to this link:
https://www.youthsymphonykc.org/contribute/donate-now/

There are a few things to note. It will ask you YOUR name at the top (so you get credit for donating in the organization's book that is handed out at every concert) and you MUST input LEANNA BRANSTETTER in the last line so that the credit goes towards her account...

VR12

I've done it! I've finally reached VR12. It only too me 25 days, 16 hours (616 hours) to get there. From VR11 to VR12 it took me 17 hours of play time, over the course of 5 actual days of game play.

I finished all the dolmens and bosses in Greenshade, and hit VR12 by telling a Wilderking his wife was pregnant and they should run away together instead of him staying behind to take care of a tree.

I am at level 50 (or max level) in all areas with the exception of: Alchemy (46), Woodworking (46), Enchanting (32), Alliance War (both at 5), Undaunted (3), Restoration Staff (46) One Handed (31) and Sword and Board (26).

I'll be delving further into Malabar Tor this week, collecting more skyshards, lorebooks, and working on achievements for titles. I should have Savior of Nirn soon, and am working towards gaining Monster Hunter.

VR11

Got to VR11 this evening. I was grinding in Craglorn since we no longer have AvA on Tuesdays, and guilds will not be functional until tomorrow. It came in at 24 days, 23 hours (599 hours) of play time. I rolled over from VR10 to VR11 in 5 days of real time, 22 hours of game play.

Yesterday I finished all the quests in Greenshade and moved on to Malabar Tor, which I'm finding to be more difficult than enjoyable. I still have most of the boss areas and dolmens to finish in the AD area in general, so if anyone is up for doing that, send me a message. :-p - See more at: http://eso.gaiscioch.com/lore/vr10.html#sthash.TnFYnS0f.dpuf

VR10

Got to VR10 today. Whilst in Greenshade, town of Woodhearth, collecting a debt owed. It came in at right under 24 days, 1 hour (577 hours) of play time. I rolled over from VR9 to VR10 in 8 days of real time, 30 hours of game play.

I still have most of the boss areas and dolmens to finish in the AD area in general, so if anyone is up for doing that, send me a message. :-p

VR9

Hit VR9 today during the Craglorn Anomoly Run. Lots of XP earned in that place; it's great if you want to level up fast.

I've been doing a lot of resource hunting lately to get my Enchanting and Alchemy skills at 50. All but one of my 4 horses are at level 50 as well. My goal is to have all skills at 50. I have all but a few there.

It took me 22 days, 19 hours to get to VR9, and 32 hours to get from VR8 to VR9.

Moving Up The Ranks!

I joined this guild 109 days ago, right around the ESO pre-launch. Today, I am 71 days away from moving to the next rank in the guild. Never thought I'd even be in a guild, let alone moving up ranks. It's different, being a part of a group with like minded individuals and sharing a truly unique experience with hundreds of other people. Thanks, fellow guildies, for making this place a cool place to be.

Sometimes, random AvA can be fun

So, I was in Cyrodiil helping the Pact where I could, and somehow I got lead on a group of 20+ people I had no idea who they were. We went to Sejanus, fought a good battle. Took back Blue Road Keep and its resources before moving on to Drakelowe, where we defended like pros, and took all the resources back.

It's weird, people asking you for direction. I've never done it before, so it was quite an experience. Maybe I'll get up the courage to run something here in the guild.... maybe.

VR8

Hit VR8 today. Was in Auridon and saved the town of Greenwater Cove from the Sea Vipers. Took me 13 days to level from VR7 to VR8 (and this was taking two weekends in a row off)

I really should be logging my hours when I post these, so I can gauge how much game play it is actually taking me. Having said that, I have played 505 hours (21 days, 1 hour).

Red had the Circle, but then we lost it....

After the 1.2.5 patch, I decided to see if the FPS issue was resolved in Cyrodiil. Upon arrival, I saw there were battles for the circle in progress. There were battles at Sejanus, Aleesia, even made it all the way down to Bloodmayne, outside the circle, going for the AD scroll. Really, that should have been renamed Blood Bath. By 5pm Central time, the circle had been claimed by the Pact. By 8pm, half the circle had gone back to DC. It was quite the all-day battle, though.

VR7

Hit VR7 this afternoon, making it an 8 day span from VR6 to VR7. I was able to level by finishing the town of Cropsford (with some friends) and encountered Casuale, almost defeating the current Emperess of Hopesfire.

Case of the Curious Wayshrine

I don't even know where to post this. In any case, it was TOO funny not to share. This happened when porting to a wayshrine in Bangkorai.

VR6

Last night, I hit VR6. Was completing a quest in Alik'r Desert. I collected warship designs and returned them to the designer (Tava's Blessing area quest). Took me 5 real time days to get from VR5 to VR6. Hoping I can finish Alik'r and Bangkorai Cadwell quests before Sunday.

Since hitting VR5, I have leveled up my provisioning and medium armor to 50, and am now working on alchemy, res staff and sword & board. My goal is to eventually be a level 50 in ALL areas. I'm a single character player, therefore I want my character to be at the maximum ability for all skills. As I figure, I'm getting at least 18 more skill points by finishing Aldemeri area and Craglorn. However, I am told that the max skill point cap is set at 300. Not sure how many I've assigned thus far, but hope I don't hit that cap anytime soon.

VR5

Hit VR5 today. Took 11 days from VR4. Leveled up with a quest in Alik'r Desert when I turned a monkey into a person. To date, I have all Skyshards collected in Ebonhart and Daggerfall. Once I finish the Almanac quests, I'll be able to finally move on to Aldemeri.

VR4

I hit VR4 today. I believe with the questing in Craglorn I was able to level up faster. I was at the Hollow Waste Dolmen in Alik'r Desert when I leveled. Took me much less time from VR2 to VR3. Four days to be exact. Four. Days. Four days to go from VR3 to VR4. VR2 to VR3 took 15 days. There's some perspective for you.

VR3

Yesterday, May 27th, I hit VR3. Accomplished by defeating a Dark Anchor in Stormhaven. I thought it would take me much longer, but it took exactly 15 days. The enemies are harder, mobs of 3 or more still seem impossible, but the challenge keeps me going. Can't wait to see what VR3 has to offer, and when it's time to hit the enemies of VR4.

VR2

Hit VR2 today. Took me 10 physical days, not time played, to get there. Accomplished by defeating a Dark Anchor in Southern Glenumbra. Noticed that the XP to get to VR3 more than doubled from the gap of VR1 to VR2.

    Non-Vet AvA
Played non-Vet AvA for the first time last night. It was surprisingly fun. We had a small group, but we were effective, and had lots of fun, or at least I think we did. It was a change of a very monotonous normally Vet run. Not that all Vet runs are monotonous, but they can be...

    We took Black Boot!
In an effort to sway the AD away from attacking EP camps, we took Black Boot, and pushed the gate. While some of us breeched the gate, we did not make it to the scroll. However, diverting their attention to another campaign, EP was able to take the scroll with little resistance...

Yes, it IS possible to beat Vet Fungal
Had a great team today. After a half a dozen previous attempts, we had some great strategy ideas in the group and we defeated the Fungal Grotto. It takes patience, some time, and team effort, but it is possible. Had a great time beating all the bosses in the dungeon, and was awarded a Golden Undaunted Key...

Monster Hunter Achievement [work in progress]
I plan to update this as I go along with areas to farm and what species are required for each item. Humanoid Slayer * Humanoids ---Self explanatory. Kill humanoids (bandits, etc). You'll get this, most likely, by general questing. * Goblin-kin ---Best place for EP to find these is in the Dogeater Goblin Camp, located in Stros M'Kai...

Cyrodiil Adventures -- Dungeons and Bosses and Bosses and Dungeons
Why is it that sometimes the bosses don't like to respawn in the caves in Cyrodiil? I know they adjusted for farming, but still, why do you have to kill the same boss 2 or 3 times before getting the next one to spawn? We literally spent an hour in one cave trying to get one boss to spawn...
  • Battle Recap:
Lipsand Tarn and its tricky Bosses
So, this cave in Northwest Cyrodiil has two bosses; Gaston and Marbita. Marbita didn't want to show up for the party, so we kept killing Gaston until Marbita showed up. It worked, and we got lots of XP and cave completion for doing it. One more thing checked off the list of things to complete in Cyrodiil.

    Rayles and Chim
Interestingly enough, another guild took Fort Rayles where our Elder Scroll of Chim was. For whatever reason, they kept passing it around to their own guild members. So, I asked why they were playing hand off and not running it back to the Gate where it belonged...

    Why wouldn't the bosses spawn?!
We traveled to the town of Bruma and defeated its Dremora, along with the Dark Anchor. We completed all 10 quests in the town, and moved on to Toadstool Hollow, where there were 5 bosses to defeat. After killing several of the same respawning bosses over and over, we finally defeated all bosses in the cave, thus getting completion of the area...

    So. Many. Guards!
We conquered the town of Cropsford. Our quests took us to Cracked Wood Cave, where we finished the cave, brutally killed the Goblin boss, and gained a skyshard. While completing quests, we encountered a few area bosses (randomly), WAY too many Guards were respawning in town, and towards the end, we even casually bumped into Casuale and a minion...

    Storming Stormhaven
Bosses and dungeons and pirates, oh my!
  • Battle Recap:
    Almost another Elder Scroll!
Again, we had hands on the Elder Scroll of Chim. Very close, but mobbed by many VR10 AD. They took it to Castle Roebuck. We're gonna get it back sooner or later.
  • Battle Recap:
We almost took the Scroll of Chim!
It was very exciting. We worked our way South, far enough to breach the walls and run almost all the way back home with the Scroll of Chim. Fun times.
