Provisioner Writ Issues

Does anyone know if they will be fixing the Provisioner Writ issues? It's very annoying to get the quest and find I don't have the recipe. It's not in the store or the bank for either GSCH or the trading guild that I'm in. All other crafting is either you know everything or trial and error. Why can't provisioning be that way? Or just have the quest itself only give you writs for recipes you actually know.

They selected certain recipes (three sets) for each tier.  Those recipes can be found, but it does indeed make it a little harder to work with.
I don't think there are any plans to address this, although it certainly is the most frustrating of the writ mechanics.

Don't think they are changing it - it's been this way since these recipes were revamped a year ago almost.

The alternative is to ask someone to make what you need until you get the recipe.

There will be an update to Provisioning with the new Thieves Guild update, per the PTS patch notes.

Provisioning Update
Vendors now sell recipes used in Provisioning Writs, which will ensure provisioners are able to reasonably complete any Provisioning Writ received.

• Food recipes will appear on Chefs, while drink recipes show up on Brewers.
• The recipes offered are based on your current level of Recipe Improvement, though they also will offer recipes from the previous rank as well.
• Provisioning Writs will no longer reward these recipes.
• Completing the certification quest for Provisioning will directly provide the recipes needed for the first tier of writs to ensure novice provisioners can immediately undertake the quests

Till then, I have all the recipes and plenty of mats, there are only 3 green food and 3 green drinks for each level.  email me in game with the names and i can make you a bunch of each.

I'm glad they are going to do something about the writs, at least.

Verve, I think I have all of them now, so far. I've picked up 2 of them, at least. I'll let you know if I need more.
