well i had thoughts of going back in gw2 just to see how things looked. saddly i cant remember my password and well to recover it i need my game key that i dont have. and to w3rite a ticket in i need to sign is :). any thoughts on hwo i could get back in without having to create a new account,.. mind you i havent logged in in probably 5-6 years
While is true that they ask for the cdkey for the tickets, they have other ways to verify your identity, so you can try to open the ticket leaving that field in blank and try to get hold of a cs rep and explain your situation
When it asks for gamekey? I mean if you go https://help.guildwars2.com/hc/en-us and click reset your password, it only asks for your email address.
oh and also https://help.guildwars2.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015835487-I-Want-to-Change-My-Password if you scroll down, you see what details will help your case and if you click submit ticket, there is option submit ticket anonymously so you don't need to log in.
