Brothers and Sisters, friends and family, please give me a moment of your time.
You may know me as the Reclis Effbomber. I would like to share with you all an important tidbit of information. Now before I get started it is important to me that you all know me as Mike for this rant.
I joined the Gaiscioch in July 2010, however, did you know that the Gaiscioch have been around alot longer than that?
I had given up on Warhammer and could not stomach the pain of World of Warcash. I can not stand the forums, however I was curious to see if anything had changed recently. You see my ol' lady and me was in Vegas and she decides to tell me we're having a baby! (This was months ago) So i realize my constant boozin and brawlin days need to come to a close, fast. Enter need for a cheap addiction.
I read this post about the Gaiscioch and look into it further. What do you know? People like me, out for a good time, gettin competitive on occasion, and NOT A FLY-BY-NIGHT operation. Delete destro toons, hello Tuatha.
Keep readin.
SO anyways, I start to get to know a few of the fella's, really liking my decision now. Participate in some events, join Ventrilo, and spend more time on this site than I do in game. Whats my point? Simply this;
The Gaiscioch will never truly leave Warhammer, just as they have never truly left DAoC, just as they truly never will leave Rift or GW2. This is not a 1 game guild, there are not now nor have there ever been restrictions laid out before us. Gaiscioch is not a Warhammer guild, Gaiscioch is a gathering of like-minded gamers from all race, age-groups (waddup Oldroar ;) and background.
Swords out NEVER in.
If people around you are feeling like they're being abandoned, get them to the web-site. We're all still here, some of us are experimenting with other avenues, some are tied up by other commitments. Gaiscioch is IRL. We roleplay, we start other guilds, we have many branches, point is it consists of we. We play friggin games for fun!
I love Warhammer the concept, I'm frustrated by Warhammer the game. I'm Alpha testing Rift, working too damn much, and rubbing the cankles of my psycho sadist pregnant girlfriend. Point is I'm still here, if you're reading this you're still here. We can keep it together through the next 50+ years of gaming or you can go by the way-side. We will still be here.
This is a social gaming community at it's finest, you will always have friends here if you want them. Welcome home, you are family.
Cheers big ears.
