The end is not quite upon us!

Seeing so many new additions to the family, I thought it was a good idea to break up the posts about quitting WAR with the occasional positive post. ;)

So to those of you newly joined members, fear not. You didn't join a sinking ship. There are still plenty of us playing even if we occasionally grumble about the state of the game.

As many have pointed out, there are really no viable alternatives to WAR. Some of the changes have left a sour taste in my mouth, but a fruit that is 75% sweet and 25% sour is still mostly sweet.

Many of you have been reading about the many alpha and beta testers' love affair with Rift. It is a beautiful game and I look forward to playing it live. But aside from the fact that it will ship with no real oRvR, the best estimate for it's arrival is March 1st. Three months is an eternity in MMO time. That means that I'll be spending the next eternity or so still playing WAR. :)

Anyways I'll stop with my long winded post. I can't speak for everyone but I won't be going anywhere for awhile. See you guys in game!

Andine and I, we have a blast with WAR. We'll be around. Change happens, just ride it out with the attitude that it's a game and you're only here to have fun.

I hope I haven't caused any issues for the family by my posts regarding Rift. I certainly don't mean to in anyway upset family members who won't be migrating to Rift (now or later). I try to inform people about the opportunities we can find in Rift, NOT why they should stop having fun where they are today. I myself, continue to play DAoC almost every day. Sincere apologies,

Na Mac, your reviews of Rift aren't a problem. It is a nice game, but right now its all potential. Bentmer is right though, sometimes if your new one of the indications of guild health are the forums...and sometimes we forget that. I'm still in WAR...right now I'm NOT in love with my WP and having fun PvEing with my BW...but I'll be there for all the family events!!

Nah Mac, my post has nothing to do with your posting about Rift. Like you, I'm very enthusiastic about the game too and I bought my CE edition last week. :) Besides, most of the people affialiated with WAR can't even see your posts unless they go to the Rift Gaiscioch site. The only reason I posted is to let the newer players know that we still have a very healthy presence in WAR. It's helped alot now that we've merged the 4 guilds into 2. Before sometimes it was hard to tell how many of us were actually on. And when I first joined, I was a little alarmed by the large number of goodbye posts. So I just wanted to break them up a little bit with the occasional 'We're still here and stuff' post. I had no intention on making it seem like someone was out of line for posting anything regarding WAR, Rift, or anything else. :)

This is a great post in my opinion as I am fairly new to the family and WAR I really like the game and love playing with you guys. I know that everyone is upset with its developers but I have faith in the game for this reason no matter whose running it it is owned by games workshop and if you think blizzard are gaming moguls Games workshop blows them out of the water. I hope they will see they are losing money here with this last patch and force EA or whoever to fix it. Thank you for shining a lil light on our day with a bit of hope.

The Gaiscioch aren't going anywhere. When Rift comes out well have 2 Trinity nights a week in War and a Trinity Night in Rift each week. This will go this way till either GW2 comes out (pending they don't srcew anything up) or I no longer can fill a warband in War. I will devote my efforts where the most demand exist. If war can pull a rabbit out of their hat and stop the downward spiral we may be there for a very long time. As long as I have people to lead ill be there.
