I am looking for someone that will be crafting on a regular basis to be my crafting partner. You can reply here and then I'll send you an in-game friend request.

I would be down. You can add me @cariance. My clothing guy will be an alt, but that's not to say we can't swap clothing regularly.
Thanks, I'll send you a friend request so that we can keep track of each other.
Is the reason to craft pieces of clothing and swap them with each other for deconstructing? I read where you can get better crafting xp doing that. Is that the fastest way to level clothing?
I'm also leveling clothing if someone else needs a someone to swap back and forth with.
Yes. Long story short, you get the most inspiration (xp) from deconstructing items you didn't make. The most would be a gold world drop, down to a white world drop. All player crafted items are a percentage of the world drop of equivalent quality. Deconning your own items gives you almost nothing.
So the way the process goes, you make a bunch of clothing items. You give them to someone on another account and take the same from them. You decon them, make new ones, then rinse and repeat.
I can confirm for woodworking and metalsmithing that making a level 4 item in the 1-14 tier is the most efficient from an inpiration per crafting item basis. I have read that level 14 is best for clothing, but I would need to test that. It could have been a typo in the guide I was reading.
I can confirm that in the guide I read for clothing that making the smallest item (requiring fewest resources) at the highest level possible in the tier is the most efficient. There are no diminishing inspiration (XP) returns for clothing like there is for blacksmithing.
I'm also looking for a "Clothing Buddy (TM)." My main character is a clothier so I'm quite interested in leveling him up. If anyone is interested send an email to @mcmathc
@Cariance, I read the level 4 items use the fewest resources, but the level 14 items use the fewest motif stones, so if you're trying to save on materials, you make level 4 ones, but if you want to save on buying stones, you make level 14 ones.
I've never heard of a crafting partner before. Can someone please explain the concept to me.
Charlatan and I have teamed up. Thanks, Charl.
Ezsme, you basically craft in either clothing, blacksmith or woodworking, make several of an item, your crafting buddy does the same, and then you swap to each other. Deconstructing items that others have made gives you much more xp than actually crafting and deconstructing what you've made. You can also still deconstruct random loot drops too but this is a great way to supplement.
Hey I actually posted something on this a little earlier. I worked very hard to come up with the stats but apparently others did before me so mine kinda got shot down. Check out my mini guide to effective Inspiration Gain. That should help you with your earlier question.
Please add me if you need a crafting partner @VyseArcadia
I've been reading Tamriel Foundry for a while and hadn't seen that post, so I appreciated your post Vyse :)
Thank you.
Hiya ! Also looking for clothing buddy ! @jarjarbinx99
Me too, @Raighan, mail me in game when servers come back up. I am also interested in swapping items for traits, particularly Divines, Impenetrable and Infused.
Just posted a topic -
Goibinu's Artisans
Let me know what you think guys.
I'm a clothier as well. Not strictly dedicated, but it is my main craft. I'd like to have someone to swap with if anyone is still available. :)
