Céad Míle Fáilte
(One Hundred Thousand Welcomes)

Welcome traveler, I would like to welcome you to the humble home of the Gaiscíoch (Pronounced: Gosh-Kia) Family and Tuatha Social Gaming Community. Our family began as a social gaming community in the industry pioneering MMORPG Dark Age of Camelot. We began on the Nimue server on November 11th, 2001, with a focus on creating a fun and enjoyable community for players of all ages and skill levels.

The Gaiscíoch takes it's name from the Irish legends found within the "Cét-chath Maige Tuired", "Lebor Gabála Érenn", and "Cath Maige Tuired" which chronicles the first people of Ireland the Tuatha de Danann. Specifically the First Battle of Moyturna where the Tuatha de Danann hand picked the most honorable and loyal warriors to fight along side the Celtic gods in a battle against the Fir Bolg. These Warriors were known as the Gaiscíoch.

With our roots firmly attached in the Celtic Mythological Cycle, the Gaiscíoch hold honor, respect, integrity, and fellowship, over hierarchy and dictatorship. Today the Gaiscíoch family spans many games, sports, and social circles.

We are a social casual gaming community with a relaxed approach toward gaming. We allow our members to play how they want, when they want, as long as they want and do not constrict them with quotas or requirements. It is through gaming, athletic competition, and social interaction that we forge new friendships and relationships.

      So I still don't have fiber in the house, but the fiber to the box down the road allowed me to go in only with minor lag jitters in the bigger fights.

      First I was a bit lost and had to retreat to be able to find a transit to get to the right place. Once there it wasn't hard following along even on a slow pack horse. Died a few times, more to archers and siege than enemy players.

      Best encounter was the DC trying to sneak around behind our siege at a keep that were up on a bluff and not many of us up there defending...

      ---Self explanatory. Kill humanoids (bandits, etc). You'll get this, most likely, by general questing.
      * Goblin-kin
      ---Best place for EP to find these is in the Dogeater Goblin Camp, located in Stros M'Kai.
      * Giant-kin
      ---Best place for EP to find these is Giant's Camp in northeast Eastmarch.

      Daedra Slayer
      ---For all of the below, the best places are either at Dark Anchors or in Coldharbor...

      I've done it! I've finally reached VR12. It only too me 25 days, 16 hours (616 hours) to get there. From VR11 to VR12 it took me 17 hours of play time, over the course of 5 actual days of game play.

      I finished all the dolmens and bosses in Greenshade, and hit VR12 by telling a Wilderking his wife was pregnant and they should run away together instead of him staying behind to take care of a tree.

      I am at level 50 (or max level) in all areas with the exception of: Alchemy (46), Woodworking (46), Enchanting (32), Alliance War (both at 5), Undaunted (3), Restoration Staff (46) One Handed (31) and Sword and Board (26)...

      This was first non-veteran event on new campaign, Blackwater Blade. Solid group of 8 people started heading towards dolmen near south Morrowind gate. I had one thought in my mind "Did Zenimax scale mobs for non-veteran players". Well we got answer very quickly when dolmen went up. No they didn't scale them. Well no matter onwards our group rushed killing summoners without problems. But then trouble came, couple Storm Atronach, Skeleton Healers and warrior and Xivilais. As you may know Xivilai are lovely people who tend to summon help...

      This was a fun pick-up Gaiscioch dungeon run. Most of the group was under-leveled (or so it felt), and we did have one Vet with us. Overall a good time as we figured out (or remembered) the mechanics of the different bosses. Some of them involved complete wipes, but it was a great learning experience. We got dialed in as a group as we progressed, but quite a few soul gems were used. Thanks to Faye for logging it in, and to the group for a fun time.

      Got to VR11 this evening. I was grinding in Craglorn since we no longer have AvA on Tuesdays, and guilds will not be functional until tomorrow. It came in at 24 days, 23 hours (599 hours) of play time. I rolled over from VR10 to VR11 in 5 days of real time, 22 hours of game play.

      Yesterday I finished all the quests in Greenshade and moved on to Malabar Tor, which I'm finding to be more difficult than enjoyable. I still have most of the boss areas and dolmens to finish in the AD area in general, so if anyone is up for doing that, send me a message...
