I've had a new project mulling around in my head for a while now and I've decided to go "all-in" and see if I can't make it work, this time. I will write up better details in the near-future, but for now here is my preliminary outline (basically a copy of what I've emailed to my folks):
Couple of things to FYI:Since TESO is basically DAOC2, I'm going to take Waelwulfas out of mothballs, with some changes:1. It will be AvA only (explained below).2. Therefore, it will be Ebonheart Pact only.3. It will be open only to Werewolves (for obvious reasons that fit perfectly w/this game and the lore and the history of WW).4. I'm going to place WW under the Gaiscioch Tuatha system.5. Gaiscioch is pronounced "gosh-kee-ya" (crazy celt language).6. Joining the Tuatha means that I should have access to the Gaiscioch website support system (plus community tools, like calendar, event planning, etc) and get done what I've always wanted to get done, without having to figure out how to build a special website for it.7. As a result, Gaiscioch will become the core community for everyone in WW. GSCH is an open-community that is specifically designed for exactly what I am outlining here, so its a nice solid base to build from. Foghladah takes a lot of pride in his Tuatha system, he is itching to rebuild it (we could not use it in GW2 due to game design) and I aim to take advantage of it.Finally, Waelwulfas.org will become a (commercial) website focusing on "Siege Warfare" types of games, which is a natural fit because WW has its roots in that type of game. Earlier this year, I moved it to Siteground, which is cheaper (currently) and designed to support more of what I want to do. I've just been procrastinating on doing anything, until I recently put all of this together. This will take a while to implement, so I am shooting for May/June.
(Yea, I didn't really explain the "AvA-only" part, but the tl;dr is the idea that WW roams Cyrodiil like a wolf-pack, much like we did in the Frontier lands of Dark Age of Camelot. WW became a DAoC legend because of that.)
Ok, so there is a lot of history and lore behind Waelwulfas, equal to (at the least), Gaiscioch. I will eventually write all of this up, but as folks may imagine, it will take a considerable amount of time. For example, Waelwulfas was one of the first RvR guilds in the world, it was created on DAoC launch day and on the 2nd day we were camping the Frontier gates of Hybernia on Gawaine, and we owned them for several hours, until they finally got enough players to rush out and overcome us. (Maybe the 1st zerg? LOL)
A lot of history.
So, if any family members are planning to play a Werewolf, find this interesting and would like to become involved, please feel welcome and let me know. Its a lot to do by myself, so I am definitely open to help and ideas, especially from anyone who spent a lot more time w/PTS than I did.
More details to follow in the coming weeks.
