Class changes are interesting. Looks like Monks got nothing but buffed (Shoulder Tackle cooldown being lowered from 90 to 30 seconds? Yikes!).
Bards lost the 10% enemy damage dealing reduction from Rain of Death, and it looks like Warriors now got it. Rain of Death now reduces enemy evasion by 10% - which seems at first glance, like a pretty worthless side-effect. Blood for Blood buff reduced but Dragoons' enhanced trait re-buffs it, so that's another blow to Bards. :/ They also changed the effect of Hawk's Eye but it's not clear whether it's better, worse, or the same :D
Disciples of Magic can no longer slot Thunder. Virus now grants a 60 second immunity to repeated applications.
And for our trusty Scholars:
* The faerie Eos will no longer automatically cast Whispering Dawn when set to Obey.
(I'll put my notables below...)
16 Main Scenario Quests will be good and I'm interested in the Dailies as it seems Rep is making an entrance.
Treasure Hunting too.. just good to have more ways to get Allagan's. (Just noticed it states DoL 40+, I'll have to work on that :P)
It also mentions that Guildleves are having a boost, interested to see how much.
The cities now too have become sanctuaries, finally!
Sorting! Looks like you can sort via Item Level, HQ/NQ, Spiritbond, Materia slots, stack size, usable level, and Item ID. Very nice.
Armory Changes:
PETS
FATES
(This makes me wonder how much closer it is to GW2 but also wondering by the "previous" aspect to that. As in number of players in the previous FATE? This makes me think they don't have a way to scale in real time but predetermined when a FATE spawns)
Actually they buffed MNKs and DRGs pretty nicely, it looks like about a 10%-15% damage increase all said and done. I am glad they didnt hit bards too bad but I think the evasion thing is stupid, with the people at or above the accuracy cap you cant miss.
I like the SCH changes (Lustrate gets a nice buff!), but I was hoping to see the phrase "You can now macro pet skills". Maybe it's coming and they just didn't mention it.
Fixing what's broken with Steady and Obey is a nice first step.
Saw a nice post about unannounced changes in the patch notes over at reddit:

Couple of things:
Can make your HUD quickbars smaller or larger than currently:
This sounds like a "skip cutscenes" preference:
I *think* this means only display your buffs/debuffs on the target. Should make keeping your buffs up easier for people like Bards, who always want their debuffs active.
Also, Lakshmi, is this maybe the start of (implementation of?) pet macroing? These commands will be added it seems:
