Hey Guys, Found this snapshot of my old Memoirs of Fugmug DeFailte blog I used to run in Camelot and thought some of you might enjoy it. This was the Journal of my character Fugmug as I hunted and killed Norse. Keep in mind over the 3 years I played this character I never once attacked or killed a single Humanoid, NPC or Human, that wasn't of Norse Decent. It was quite a humbling challenge and taught me quite a bit of restraint and self control. Read Bottom to Top.

Battles abroad
Day 29 of the 8th Moon

War rages in our lands. Over the past few days i found myself traveling throughout Hibernia, Midgard, and Albion. I began on a hunt for Norse near the passage of conflict. Inside I was greeted by a single Bonedancer. His skill was far better than my own but still, with the shortages of Norse and my trusty binding stone I figured why not. I unleashed my best attack as soon as he attacked one of the daemons inside. I fought hard and long and somehow just couldn?t manage to get an edge on him. In the same he couldn?t get past my blessed armor of protection. We fought for what seemed like an eternity but alas I fell.

The trip through the Otherworld seemed rather short this time. The painful cry?s of the lost souls we still and quite. It was the first time i had actually feared this journey home. When i came too a druid stared down upon me and told me that I was very close to being lost. My neck had a slight sting to it. The druid made her best attempt to comfort me by telling me the stinging would soon be gone, that I had lost my head in that last battle. Fortunately for me the binding stone was fastened in my armor. A brush with death? What a rush.

Well like any stupid keen I went back to the passage of conflict. I was not about to let this Bonedancer get away clean. Upon arriving I noticed a entire war party of Norse fighting the daemons. One of them seemed to be mending his wounds and unconscious. While the others hacked away at the daemons I crept up and removed the kobolds head then fled. If it wasn?t for the demonic wolfhounds I would have gotten away clean. But alas it was another trip through the Otherworld for me.

My Third voyage proved more bountiful. Just outside of the old Norse ruins I found 4 Norsemen hunting the wildlife. I attacked the healer first slaying her almost instantly. I vanished without a trace before the other 3 could find me. Next was Cutt's turn. A troll I hunted back in my Caledonia days. It was a pleasant reunion as I put him into his grave with only a mere scratch on me. His Young minded friend foolishly gave me a rude gesture so I laid him too to rest. Then it was the matter of dealing with a sleeping Shadowblade. I killed her quickly and left the area as quickly as I could.

I ventured to Fensalir Faste Outpost where their appeared to be a battle taking place. Upon inspection I saw that the door was damaged but not a soul was stirring. Still I waited to watch for any unseen individuals hiding in the woods. I waited for what seemed like an eternity. Just when I thought it was vacant a lone scout named Corthie peered out of the bushes hurling 3 arrows into the door. I smiled and dropped one of my steeple hats to let her know I was there. She did not seek me out to slay me but instead bowed to me. She seemed like a fair lady so I waited around hoping for the chance to slay me a kobold. Perhaps this time Redar... the Kobold that evaded me so often in Caledonia. Alas not a troll in sight.

I ventured south to Hlidskialf Faste Spire and decided perhaps my best approach would be to use myself as bait. Sure enough a lone troll took one swing at me and then I was gone. He searched and searched for me but i was nowhere to be found. I?m sure the disappearing mage trick really fooled this one. He was quite puzzled. Though... if I had the brainpower of troll I would be too. I turned and looked to my right and through the valley to Albions rushed the troll. After the troll had fallen I gave them applause and bowed to them. Unfortunately by the time they realized who I was, I was back looking at that very same druid shaking her head at me. I looked to him and said, ?You know, we should go have a drink.? He laughed and said ?Aye, that we should?

We took a short trip to the local pub during his break and I told him about the day?s journey. Come to find out, my good druid friend Killaloe has always dreamed of going on adventures in foreign lands. It was at the pub that a guard came rushing in saying that the stronghold at Caer Berkstead was under attack by the Norse and Albion. My ears perked a bit and Killaloe just shook her head. She looked to me and said, ?Go my friend the Norse are waiting for ye.? I grabbed the first boat I could and headed to Albion hoping to catch an unsuspecting Troll. The siege was massive and casualties riddled the battlefield. I managed to land a few blows on a Kobold but he vanished and I wasn?t sticking around so I vanished as well. The fight lasted quite a while and I ended up posting camp in the woods just east of there. I shall rest a bit, tend to my wounds and venture back to Midgard tommarrow.

Norse Presence Fading Away
Day 19 of the 8th Moon

Hunting the Norse has become near impossible lately. Since the Shamen have opened up some sort of portal system that allows them to move across their lands at unbelievable speeds, the Norse have been near impossible to track. I have been venturing to Albion lately to hopefully catch one of their war parties in the heat of battle. Unfortunately the local Albion don't like my presence very much and send me back home rather often. Im hoping that in the next few months we can manage to destroy this portal system so that I can once again stalk my prey. It is rare that you ever see a loan Norse anymore. Quite disheartening. Worst yet is my Nemesis has gone dormant. New warlords have taken his place. I fear the Kobold has taken his leave from the Norse army. I do hope he returns as I still have a dagger with his name on it.

Changing Winds
Day 1 of the 8th Moon

It has been many weeks since I last managed to write in my journal. The winds of the east have changed and the world has changed drammatically. Places I once knew have shifted and new regions have risen. It is my fear that their is evil at work here. Also the legions of Albion have grown strong. There are now 3 Albions to every Hibernian and my relations with them have grown weary. It has been some time since the people of Albion have welcomed me into their circles. The Infiltrator Harlan hunts me though I leave him be. Many others care not of my quest and hesitate not in slaying me. It is because of this that I now advoid the Albion, though I still assist them in their battles where I can. The Hibernians mostly welcome me though there are some there that wish me dead. Im hoping the winds settle soon so that i might once again learn the land. I long for another day hunting with Elyzaria, though I fear she may have forgotten me. It has been many months since our last meeting, and Tomi tells me she has grown quite a bit. I do hope i still reside in her heart. Well I must sleep now.

Storm in Midgard
Day 30 of the 6th Moon

How the lands have changed over my time in Midgard. War has not been friendly to the once thriving natural life here. I hear it is the same back home. I have spent much of my time the past few weeks learning the terrain of this everchanging land. Last night I grew very bold. With the help of several friends I managed to hang our banner over two different Midgard fortifications. In addition I can report 6 more slain norsemen.

In other news a letter from my sister tells of a strange firbolg guard whom is following her every move. I dont know what the King is up to but I've asked Clioe to try to find out. I do fear for my sisters safety and have Sinthea keeping a close eye on her.

Warmth in Midgard
Day 30 of the 5th Moon

It was only a few days since I traveled back to Midgard before I began slaughtering Norsemen again. The few days I spent in Hibernia secretly meeting with Clioe, Sinthea, Uan, and Giainny were much needed. My mind is much clearer now and my heart rests at ease that everyone at home is still well.

I sometime lay at night and wonder. Will ever be able to return to Hibernia again? Has love for Elyzaria bannished me from my home land. The cold of Midgard has replaced the sun and warmth of Hibernia. I am trapped in an Ice dungeon while my friends and family grow old.

Not all is evil here though. The wolves keep me company and I bring them rabbits occasionally. They have welcomed me into their den and often times protect me.

Over the past 3 days I have killed 21 Norsemen, one which included the famed Stormur Vakten named Elekor Dragonhime wearing the Mayhem banner. In the fight which handed Elekor her end was one in which I had to use a bit of creativity. There were 3 Norse hunting the Crabs that night. Targonne, Kaark, and Elekor. Karrk was a Thane and could easyally take me out if I fell under Elekor's stunning ability. I knew the only option I had was to split them up. I waited till Kaark was out of sight of the other two. He fought a crab and as he fought i quickly sweaped in slitting his throat and escapeing to the east. I returned for the healer. She was resting to regenerate her strength so she could resurect the thane I had just killed. I sweaped in and attacked. I figured with he low on power I might have a chance. I attacked with every bit of strength I had. Stun after Stun attempt failed. It was like the Gods prevented them from taking hold. I killed her and turned to the now quivering Targonne. He cast one spell on me which gave me a tiny scratch on my arm. I looked at him curriously then ran over to him and beat him with my staff untill his blood covered the hill of the crabs. That was the 4th, 3 member party I killed in the past 2 days. I sence that the warmth of spring will bring more Norse to the fronteer. I shall be waiting.

The Kings Desperation
Day 26 of the 5th Moon

I have been away for many moons. The king has placed a rather hefty bounty of 5 platinum pieces on my head, which has inspired the Siabra & the Far Dorocha to actively hunt me. I have been in hiding these past few weeks. Traveling all corners of the Midgard frontier. I spend some time with my dearest Elyzaria a few days back and told her of my situation. Her Gaelic is improving rather quickly. I?m amazed each time I see her as to the new words she has learned. I have slain a handful of Norsemen in my time away, though my book of names has been lost. Guess this just means I?ll have to slay them again.

I am a bit fearful of what the King will do next. These bounties are getting large and rather ineffective. Avoiding guards and the local thugs is getting tiring. I just wonder what drastic measures the king will take. When I was a small boy my mother always told me that love would make you do things you never imagined. I never expected being hunted by my own countrymen. I?m not even sure whom I can trust any more.

I hear of the wonderful tales told at the log night, and my heart aches that I cannot be there. It is too risky for me to venture that close to Tir na nOg. Clioe and Sinthea send me the best parts and it keeps me entertained during these long cold nights but what would I give to be able to actually sit there in the warmth of Hibernia, drinking a nice stout, and laughing the night away. I can just picture Fiti telling one of her marvelous tales, gripping each and every member of the audience, or O'Muley sharing another adventure. I find it interesting that while my life is threatened day in and day out I do not fear death, I battle the harshest Norse winter yet I do not fear, I travel a thousand leagues yet I do not fear, I challenge the toughest warriors? and yet I do not fear, but the thought of never being able to return home again instills fear in my heart.

I have returned to Hibernia to document my journey. Should anything happen to me I have left a note for the children of Failte instructing them to the whereabouts of this here journal. It is time for me to go the guard rotation is almost complete.

Winter in Midgard
Day 24 of the 4th Moon

The eternal winter that befalls Midgard gave no relief this past week. The harsh winds and snow stormed the hillsides making it difficult to track any Norse through the harsh climate. I made camp near the Norse keep Fensalir Faste, as it was close proximity to Dodins Grove and Svasud Faste. I spent several nights here battling the frigid winds from the west.

During my stay I managed to lay to rest seven Norse militia. One Troll Shaman named Ethaleth was a difficult hunt. I caught sight of the troll leaving Svasud Faste. By the bars on their shoulder, and the glimmering artifacts they carried, I knew they were much more experienced than I. I knew if I was to stand a chance I would have to wait for the most opportune moment.

I watched as they west quickly disappearing into the harsh snow. I lost sight of them but knew only one place that someone as highly skilled as that troll shaman would head alone... Dodens Grove. I made my way to the Grove and found the very same shaman sitting catching their breath and warming by a small fire. I crept up behind it, drew my blades and began slicing at the throat of the troll. Blood painted the walls as I cut deep into the troll. It swung at me 3 times missing every swing. By the 3rd swing the troll fell. I collected its head and returned to Hibernia to place it with my collection.

After resting a day I made my way into Darkness Falls to explore a bit. I managed to slay a few Norse in training before being sent home by the formidable shadowblade Songa.

I ended my week near my home town as I paid tribute to my family. I picked some more flowers and placed them in my bag and began heading to the main land again when I noticed a large scale fight going on at the Albion Mile Wall. The Norse and Hibernian's battled it out with every last breath. I noticed one Kobold Hunter named Kizo attempting to sneak away and attacked him. He was much more skilled than I but, I managed to slay him with a little help from a firbolg. I was given his head as token of my bravery in the battle and was complimented on my swordplay. At this point I felt enough blood had been shed for one weak so I set forth on my journey to our meeting place, in Fanach Mala.

Into the depths
Day 15 of the 4th Moon

A courier brought to my attention that there was an haunted underground passage which lead to the land of Midgard. He said that I would surely find some Norse wandering the entrance to this dwelling. I set forth on my first venture to this haunted passageway named by locals as Darkness Falls. I followed a warband of Hibernians to the strange portal that would send me to Midgard. I waited. Night fell and the nurse watch began flooding the corridors. I had many fierce battles and lay to rest 7 Norsemen before I left. My adventure was quite fascinating and I will indeed further explore this realm of spirits and the damned.

Blood Spilt: Gronat, Cenewulf, Laseeen, Myrist (2), Kerenski, Krator

The Wolves of Midgard
Day 9 of the 4th Moon

Its been nearly a month since my last slaying, I have been working on improving my skills while still taking trips to Midgard on a regular basis. Ive learned many of the popular hunting groups... many of which show evidence of death in the recent past. The wolves of Midgard have grown fond of me. Perhaps it is the Spraggon meat I bring over from Hibernia for them the develops the kinship between us. Regardless the companionship of the wolves is quite useful in this new land. I figure the longer I stay in Midgard the less likely the Sentinals will see though my disguise. I do miss Elyzaria though. Im sure she is progressing in her studies. Well I must make haste the Sentinals are walking this way.

The Mother Wolf
Day 23 of the 3rd Moon

A cold wind welcomed me to the land Midgard. It was my first venture to Midgard and I decided I would seek out blood on Midgard soil while exploring their land for every nook and cranny.

I traveled several hours hiding from the Norse patrols and the occasional war party. I ran across a bunch of Albion that made no effort to find me after I cheered for them and waved as they sped past me. I made my way to both of their Great Walls protecting their borders from invaders then began my search for unsuspecting soldiers roaming about.

I came to a quiet place where the wolves sang and lizards roamed. It was near the triple log that I met my first friend in Midgard. She was a beautiful wolf who was out hunting for food for her cubs just a ways uphill. You could hear their tiny howls and it reminded me a lot of the times I spent with the wolves in Hibernia. She approached and sniffed my armor and then my bag. I pulled out of my bag a small piece of meet I had planned on cooking this night and gave it to her. But she did not take it. She became very nervous and became spooked by something. I quickly hid behind a tree. A troll and kobold came running up the path. They ran towards the Wolves den and the mother wolf growled at them with such anger. They attacked the wolf and slayed her. The cries of her children filled my heart and the blood in my veins began to boil. I watched them carefully as they continued slaying anything breathing they could find. Laughing... Taunting... and worst of all, trophy collecting.

I could not take it any more. I snuck in on the kobold, pulled my knife out, and cut her neck from ear to ear spewing blood onto her Troll friend. I then thrust my blade into trolls heart killing him instantly. I then dropped my flowers on their bodies and carried the mother wolf to her den. I took the cubs with me to another area where they would be safe. Another mother wolf took them into her den. It was with great sorrow that I had to say goodbye.

I was continuing my search when I caught wind of a very familiar scent. I followed it to the Albion gate and there standing in blue leaning up against the wall smiling was Lady Elyzaria. We to each other and embraced each other for what seemed an eternity. She spoke to me in Gaelic telling me she knew she would find me here. We spent the evening killing trolls and exploring the land. It quite nice to see her again.

Farewell Caledonia!
Day 21 of the 3rd Moon

Well today is the day the Mages deem necessary to push me forward with my hunt. It seems they feel I am to skilled for Caledonia. Tonight I celebrate my graduation with my sister Uan at the Pub in Ardee. She will be glad to hear I have completed my trainings.

I intend on training my skills a bit more, and I do hope I can see Elyzaria on the other side of Ligen or perhaps I will sneak away to Albion to see her. Regardless meeting up with her will be my first priority. I will miss my days in Caledonia and always hold Carcer, Kaliel, Keroh, Elyzaria, Delphron, Tomi, Lilipad, Posy, Lanbridge, and Shorin dear to my heart.

On my final days I claimed the lives of 19 Midgards. The fights were often times very rough and I made a lot of trips through the Otherworld. The new outcropping of Hibernian's entering the battleground was less than pleasing. Reminded me a lot of the crowd at the Battle of Thidranki. It is indeed sad when I can trust an Albion more than my own countryman. For the next 4 to 6 moons I will be traveling abroad to Midgard. I plan to locate every traveling pattern and camping location as well as every safe zone for when I decide to rest.

I am very anxious to go hunt again. I feel my destiny nearing. As I drink tonight I shall say a toast to all of my newfound friends still fighting the good fight in Caledonia. May the wind be at their back and the Norse be at their feet. Rest well Caledonia.

Blood Spilt: Hune, Kagera (3), Huleo (4), Zoof (2), Poppa (3), Izulde, Golddon (2), Cosus (2), Uma

The Foolish Dwarf
Day 18 of the 3rd Moon

I managed to sneak past the night watch tonight and get back inside Druim Ligen. I have received word from my sister Uan that it is no longer safe to travel near Hibernian Guards. It seems that my love for Elyzaria has been declared as treason, punishable by death.

I remained in Caledonia hiding away from the keep guards most of the past few days. While in Caledonia I spent a lot of time hunting with Elyzaria. One in particular fight I used myself as bait and we ran across a loan Skald by the name of Rilne. I turned and acted as though I was retreating. The skald ran up behind me and swung his sword at me. Right as he was about to stab me in the back I whipped around and placed both of my swords in his chest. He turned to run and there stood my dearest Elyzaria with a quick stab to the throat. The Dwarfs limp body fell to the floor. Elyzaria had the cutest smile on her face. I knew she was thinking the same thing as I. "Foolish Dwarf"... He must have been real surprised to have a mage turn around and stab him in the chest.

The battles in Caledonia have grown rather tame to those of the past week. I fear my time here is coming to an end. Caledonia's doors will only be open to me a few more days. I must make the best of them. I have decided that until I am forced to leave I will continue my hunt for the Shadowblade Redar and also the Skald Rilne. I shall enjoy holding Rilne's organs in my hand. Well I fear the guards will find me soon I best leave before I am noticed.

The Mark
Day 15 of the 3rd Moon

It was a long 5 days that passed since my last battle with Redar. I feared he long gone from the lands of Caledonia. Today our paths crossed. It was durring a keep seige that I ran across this elusive Kobold Shadowblade. After studing the environment I realized he did not have a healer to ment his wounds and that left a weakness. I quickly applied deseases to my blades and struck him with them as he ran by. I then regained my strength crept into the keep and waylayed him right on Caledonia's doorstep. His body fell limp to the floor and I bolted out of the keep as fast as the wind could carry me. The whole time a flurry of arrows wisped by me. I managed to escape with enough life left to mend my wounds. My job was done I had slain my mark.

This week my next mark has been given to me. His name is Sildid, yet another shadowblade, cept this one favors axes over blades. He managed to get the upper hand on me at our first meeting but I returned to let him know I am hunting him. Im sure this one will be much more playful than Redar. If nothing else he should be easyer to find.

All in all I laid to rest nine Norseman today. A good number for a good day. It was a very enjoyable day filled with sieges and many battles. It also will be forever held as a very special day as it was the day I proposed to my dearest Elyzaria. I led her and some of her friends out into the woods to a quiet place and presented her with a golden ring I bought from a jewelry shop in Tir na Nog. Her eyes lit up and she leaned over giving me a huge hug, nearly squishing me in the process, followed by a very passionate kiss and a definate yes.

I do know that the road ahead is not one that shall be liked by many. But my mother always told me. Follow your heart wherever it leads you, and that is exactly what I plan to do. I may not be liked for loving a Briton, but truthfully whats different. People hate that which they dont understand. They hide behind anger and rage and start wars just because they dont understand why people from other places are they way they are. Half the time Hibernians don't understand who I am and where I come from. They sooner cut my heart out than find out. But thats just they way people are I guess.

Blood Spilt: Sildid, Ameid, Giermagnus, Redar, Garalk, Unaval, Izulde, Poppa, Veratos

Hunting Redar
Day 13 of the 3rd Moon

For the past week I have turned Caledonia upside down tracking a Shadowblade by the name of Redar. For weeks he has terrorized the people of Caledonia and for weeks he has taken lives of Hibernian men and women. Over the course of the past week I have encountered him 4 times. To date I have only slaine him once. I am quite certain he is using a sleeper to channel their energies to protect him. Several times I have gotten him within his last breath and he manages to pull through. It was after the third loss that I decided to call upon my very own sleeper to even the playing field. Unfortunatly durring the past 3 days I have not been able to follow his trail. I fear his time is up in Caledonia and he will not return. Redar has proven to be a most formadable opponent and for this I shall keep his picture close and continue tracking him as I move forward in my learning.

Durring my stay in Caledonia I did manage to mark a few more graves. Seventeen to be exact. One battle I singlehandedly laid to rest a Troll Healer, Shadowblade and a Hunter. How, I am unsure. Twas definatly a blessing from the God's that kept me with the living. I should try not to be so clumbsy in the future.

I finnished my week by traveling to Ardee and having a pint with Brumhilda and Uan at the pub. Was quite nice to see my sister. I hadn't seen her in nearly 2 moons. After having a few drinks I attended a class on tracking and have improved my abilities in detecting lurkers. I can now track hunters with greater speed and efficancy.

Alas a moment of rest
Day 9 of the 3rd Moon

Once again it has been several moons since I have managed to rest. Caledonia fell under siege once again. Over 3 days Midgards, Hibernians and Albion have claimed possession of Caledonia. Blood has been spilt non-stop over the past few days and I have been rather busy. I am very tired from my battles and think I will seek refuge in the barracks tonight. Tomorrow I must wake and sharpen my daggers for the battles ahead.

On the third night I did see Elyzaria once again. Her smile was a kind welcome. I also met some of her commrads Tomi, Asmirond, Altnumil, Kaliel, and Carcer. They all seem like a nice bunch cept for their liking to kill Hibernians. Their sparing me was a kind act compared to the butchering earlier this week I took from the people of Albion. Sometimes its really hard to keep my oath, but then I think. What is worst... Death... or disappointing my people's spirits, or yet worse. the gods. I do hope my people are proud and I hope tonight they will let me rest in peace. May the Gods watch over their spirits, and protect my dearest Elyzaria.

The Pale Moon
Day 4 of the 3rd Moon

The moon was as pale as a fresh coat of snow tonight as Hibernians, Norsemen, and Albion collided in a gigantic battle that would leave hundreds dead and several wounded. As I scaled the wall of Caledonia a severed torso nearly pealed me off of my rope. The clashing of metal on metal and ripping of flesh cause my blood to boil with anticipation. Caledonia had turned to an all out free for all.

This weeks mark was Anneo who I managed to slay four times over 2 days. I still have 3 days left this week. Perhaps I can send him home a couple more times this week before I choose a new mark. In all the fights were rather ruthless and greusome. I saw many of my fellow Hibernians fall in some terrible fassions. Tis good that they all were wearing their bindstones though I cant imagine the pain they must have felt as the axe blades severed their every limbs.

Its terrible what goes on in Caledonia but the fight must rage on. I have not seen Elyzaria in several days. I do hope she is safe. Alas it is time to rest. Till next time.

Blood Spilt: Fiercewind, Anneo (4), Jeagersa (2), Joridgend, Volwrath, Redar, Jerilynn

My Return to Caledonia
Day 26 of the 2nd Moon

Much had changed in the time passed. The winter had passed and new blossoms filled the trees of Caledonia. Midgard banners flew over the keep and hordes of savages roamed the land. My first objective was to estimate the force I was up against. How many Albion roamed, whether they were friend or foe, and where were the Midgards were lurking. I began on my usual patrol of the Midgard keep, the Midgard rivers, the Midgard bridge, and Caledonia keep. It was at the keep I first found a loan Kobold standing watch at the keep gates. I noticed him nodding away slowly and waited. I closed in on him and before he realized I was standing in front of him I took my staff and executed a fierce upward slam on him causing his neck to snap backwards with a loud snap sound. His body fell limp to the floor and I fled from the scene. I returned to place the flowers on his grave and noticed a Shadowblade lurking near. I quickly made way towards the Hibenrian bridge.

The battles intensified from there and the war Caledonia returned to an all out massacre. By the third day I had slain 34 Norseman. I briefly returned the Hibernian stronghold to med my wounds and get a warm meal. I plan to return later tonight at attempt to seek out more fresh blood.

A moon later
Day 23 of the 2nd Moon

Tis been nearly a moon since I last visited my journal in Druim Ligen. I have been venturing the country side and practicing my Alchemy. After sitting down with Clioe and Danthe for an Ale we decided to take a trip to Failte and pay respects to our families graves.

Neither had been to Failte since that wretched day. The road was long and filled with danger. The Norse and Albion were actively sieging our fronter and the rain was hammering us as we trekked forward. As we passed Dun Ailinne a group of Siabra attempted to rob us. Bravely Danthe stepped up and told Clioe and I to keep going. He asked I place a scroll on his fathers grave and told me to hurry before he gets mad and puts an arrow in my arse. That boy sure does have a way with words! Last I heard of Danthe he was laughing as he pummeled the bunch of lackeys. I'm sure they learned a fine lesson in how to get ye arse beat.

After about 2 days Clioe and I finally arrived safely at Failte. The village still was overrun by spirits and I could see my efforts to free them have not come with much success. Perhaps they will only rest when I finally slay Ugmug. Regardless I must continue on bravely and attempt to set their souls free. We then made way to our parents graves to the southeast of Failte. Clioe and I sat on a log for many hours reminiscing about the fun we had pretending that the log we sat on was a grand ship that took us to far away lands. We spent the eve there and made way back to Drium Ligen the next morning.

The Bloodbath
Day 2 of the 2nd Moon

The sky over Caledonia was painted red with blood this eve. As the sun set the bloodshed began. Hibernian's and Albion alike slammed into the Midgard owned Caledonia Keep. I made my first kill on the road to the Midgard Bridge. I found Voshie, a spirit master, running alone to the Midgard stronghold. I carefully hid behind a tree and when she least expected it jumped out and thrust my knives into her throat spraying the soil with kobold blood. Her blood was warm and a bit sweet. I saw her brown eyes roll to the back of her head as she fell limp to the floor. I laid her onto the ground and carefully placed a flower on her grave. It was then that Elyzaria found me. She creped up next to and carefully embraced me and my blood soaked leather armor. She gently gave me a kiss on the cheek and then snuck off. We tormented a handful of Norsemen for the rest of the night and finally bid each other farewell and went our separate ways. I do hope my family found at least one of 10 Norsemen I had slain. I fear my people grow angry with the slow pace of my revenge. I must speed up the pace if I shall set them free.

Blood Spilt: Voshie, Misakichi, Helenne (3), Myird, Hazcorith, Faby (2), Heargrund

The Doors Opened
Day 1 of the 2nd Moon

It has been days since the Norsemen came to Caledonia. Today alas I watched as to my dismay 14 Norsemen came flooding out of the Midgard keep. The battles were pretty routine as I slowly picked off a few as they fought a handful of Hibernians and a couple brave Albion. In all I managed to lay 3 to rest before I laid to rest this eve. It was a breath of fresh air being able to slay once again. My patience has paid off.

Blood Spilt: Sabus, Brogema, Absyn

The Empty Keep
Day 28 of the 1st Moon

The daggers I wield can not be sharpened any further. I have paced the grounds for countless hours and yet I have seen one Valkyn Bonedancer by the name of Brogema. He came out late at night with a Berserker and I managed to stalk him for a good while before Giacoma and I laid him to rest. Once he had been slain the keep grew quiet again. The Midgards seem to be less dominant these days perhaps they are becoming afraid of Caledonia, or perhaps they are all working on their studies. I sure hope these gates bring more trolls to these lands for their blood needs to be spilt. For now I will sit and wait, perhaps ill go fishing where the Hibernian Soil and Midgard Soil meet. I hear the fish there are wonderful. I often find the Albions traveling there to catch their supper.

Blood Spilt: Brogema

My Return to Caledonia
Day 27 of the 1st Moon

Several days have passed since I last walked the lands of Caledonia. I decided to pay my parents grave a visit so that I might collect some more flowers from the fields nearby. The ruins are being over run by weeds now and slowly fading into the landscape. I fear soon it will be but a memory.

Today I decided to travel back to Caledonia to wreak havoc on the local Midgards roaming about... and that is exactly what I did. I stalked the Midgard keep for the first few hours of the day before I decided to roam for a bit. I managed to take down 13 Midgards today. I'm sure my family will be most pleased. I did not however see Elyzaria today, I hope she is not ill. I'm sure she will be around again soon.

The Albion Goddess Elyzaria Returns
Day 23 of the 1st Moon

Tonight was the first night that the beautiful blond hair blue armor wearing Infiltrator by the name of Elyzaria made her presence known to me in Caledonia. What a night at that. It was good to see her alas and I see the many seasons past since our days in Thidranki have helped her grow into quite a remarkable woman. Her eyes still shined like sapphires and her soft touch still makes the hairs on my neck stand on end. It was very nice to finnally see her again.

Most of the night we crept about hunting the heathens who were attempting to take the currently Albion occupied Caledonia keep. I managed to slay a handful on my own as well as some with my fellow family members Rheyah and Bondon. My good friend Filidas also joined Elyzaria and I most of the night.

All in all the night was pretty routeen. Midgards sieging the keep, Albions defending, and Hibernians Waylaying anyone they can get their hands on. I made some pretty remarkable kills while inside the Albion occupied keep which im sure will get me noticed, especially by Zimzum an Albion who I managed to save on the Caledonia wall. I also managed to hijack a seige ram the Midgards were using to tear down the door. By sabotaging it I managed to prevent them from getting in and gave the Hibernians time to ambush them. I think I will take out my flask and rest here for the night. There shall be many battles coming in the next few days I should be well rested for.

Blood Spilt: Thuerg, Raegnor, Frelam, Askubor, Shinobiwan, Fafri, Larris, Fyonal

Hunting the Hunter
Day 22 of the 1st Moon

Today I took a trip into town to get some of my equipment blessed by a local Alchemist. I had lunch at the Gaiscioch house in Fanach Mala and then made way back to Caledonia for a brief hunt. I managed to track down and slay a Kobold Hunter by the name of Pint, who far exceeded his stay in Caledonia. He managed to get a resurrection after the first time but soon after he stood again I swiftly placed my daggers into his spine. I think even Anu heard the crunch of his spine on that one. Needless to say he was well on his way home to midgard after that one. After slaying the hunter I wandered for a short while and decided to catch some sleep.

Blood Spilt: Pint (2)

The Waylaying
Day 20 of the 1st Moon

The sun grew warm today while I sat and waited for the doors of the Midgard Keep to open. I waited many hours, sitting and sharpening my daggers. The door opened at last. Soon after a Bonedancer appeared with his legion of undead. I left the summoner alone, as I knew a fight of one on 4 would be a bit overwhelming. Soon after Theorn, the same Kobold I had been stalking the last few nights appeared. He followed the Bonedancer down the hill to attack some of my fellow Hibernians that had set up an ambush to the north. I snuck up behind Theorn and quickly dispatched a whirl of pain upon him. His body fell limp to soil and I managed to capture this image of his mangled body.

I waited patiently for his return knowing the Shaman back in Midgard would surely raise his body from the grave. Soon enough Theorn, Wikser, and the Shadowblade Absyn exited the protection of the Midgard Keep. I followed them cautiously to the ruined Hibernian temple. They waited anxiously for a foe to attack them. I received word that the Hibernians would be arriving shortly and was ordered to buy some time. I began toying with them scattering a bunch of Lo gems about on the temple floor. Each time I dropped one they rushed to it. For several minutes I instilled paranoia in their hearts. Alas the Hibernian force arrived and I was ordered to take Theorn down once again. I dispatched him quickly jumping to the aid of a fellow nightshade to bring down the Norseman Warrior Wikser. Upon Wikser?s death I attacked the Shadowblade Absyn along side my comrades and alas the raiding party was finished. It was after this that I decided to rest a while so I could sharpen my daggers a bit more. I left flowers of the dead?s graves and I?m hopping my family had time to find their souls. If not I shall kill them again.

Blood Spilt: Theorn (3), Wikser, Absyn

The Hunt for Theorn
Day 19 of the 1st Moon

A Kobold Shaman stepped from the gates of the Midgard keep. Wandering around the protected lands for quite a while, this suspecting kobold attempted to draw an opponent into the protective zone. I sat and waited, patiently like a child waiting for his mum to place his food on the table. For what seemed like forever I watched as he danced from one side to the other like one of the street performers in Tir na Nog. Alas he decided to step out of the range and attack a simple spider. My window opened and I moved in for the kill. As I snuck up upon him something made him alert and he escaped from my grasp.

The next morning he came back and I was waiting. Again he danced around the protective area this time being as bold as an ox. I waited, and waited, and remained patient. Nearly 3 days had passed since I had slain my last Midgard and yet I have yet to experience a trip through the otherworld. He became secure with his surroundings and decided to make a run to the riverbed. Right when I thought I had once again let him escape he turned around and came back. I placed myself in his way and quickly thrust my daggers into he neck spilling blood onto the soil. He grabbed his neck and began to run but my poisons had him. I chased him down and with his last breath i thrusted my dagger into his spine ripping the last life he had out of him. As his body fell to the ground I dropped a flower to remember my family.

Blood Spilt: Theorn

Breakfast
Day 17 of the 1st Moon

This morning I woke from under my usual tree, noticing the path towards the keep had been well traveled while I was away. I began following the tracks all the way to Caledonia's doors where i found about 14 midgards seiging the now Hibernian ruled keep. One Kobold stood out among the others. He constantly was sending blessings to the other wounded soldiers and i knew, this was my mark of opportunity. I waited quite a while before an Albion mage sent his minions after the group and then fled the other way. The force of Midgards left the keep leaving my mark behind. While the healer casted his blessings I snuck up behind him quickly slitting his throat and spilling blood onto the cold riverbed. His body fell limp face down into the sand. I quickly made haste back to keep. Before I rested again I managed to slay one other. I shall return tonight to see if I might find a few more to slay.

Blood Spilt: Theorn, Dabrak

First Blood on Caledonia
Day 16 of the 1st Moon

As I stepped out of the keep onto Caledonia soil, the rain hammered unto the ground like a blacksmith pounding his anvil. The ground was saturated with water causing my feet to stick in the mud. After a short while I caught the scent of troll heading towards Caledonia keep. I began to follow what looked to be a group of 18 Midgards heading to lay seige on the Albion held keep.

Alas one young Frostalf Spiritmaster by the name of Okeanos chased the force dragging behind him a lost soul. His delay was his demise. I spilt his blood onto the soil near the archer hill and swiftly placed flowers at his grave. I do hope my family had time to find his soul before the Midgards managed to bring him back.

The night went on and I managed to slay 4 other midgards one of which twice. By nights end the keep had fallen, Midgard banners now shine high over Caledonia. I shall spend the night in the woods near the midgard keep waiting for another opportunity to slay another troll. Until next time.

Vengeance and Remembrance.
Fear the Dagger, Welcome the Rose.

Blood Spilt: Okeanos, Kiusata, Mordziek(2), Corstaad, Praemeth

Preperations Begin
Day 10 of the 1st Moon

The road has been long and tiresome. I have once again resurfaced with new skills and a better understanding of my foes. I look to Caledonia with much anticipation. It has been 11 seasons since I last spilt the blood of the Norse and many moons since my last entry.

Mi lady Twryhyggyr of the Gaiscioch na Anu family is placing her finishing touches on mi armor before I make way to Caledonia soil. A few more days stand between me and final test. The nightmares are growing worse. I keep having visions of my mother burning alive. Will these dreams ever cease? Perhaps Caledonia will bring me answers. Perhaps after I slay some more Norsemen my people will allow me to rest.

Cold night in Mount Collory
Day 29 of the 11th Moon

Tis the third night I have spent in Mount Collory this week. My techniques have been improving quite well, however the spraggonale's I have been slaying have been getting a bit shyer these past days. I think tonight I shall begin making way to Failte, so I can pay my respects before I continue my training. I hope to be on track and ready to enter Caledonia before the 15th day after the next moon. My thirst for the blood of the Midgards grow, as my nightmares are getting worse. Is there no escape from these memories? I must seek the answer, and one day when my family can rest in peace, perhaps these dreams will vanish.

Blood Spilt: A couple spraggonale

Good read...I like the roleplay from an entertainment standpoint, I hardly get involved anymore, but I like to read it. So I gotta ask, how'd you go from the romantic nighshade of Norse vengeance to the sausage totin', trout swingin, bare assed witch hunter? Helluva jump bro! On a serious note I wrote a story once that someone copied to a fan site for roleplay (they actually asked my permission on that). I wish I could find it. Explained my sudden main switch from Paladin to Animist. Anyways, do we got like a spot to set or read material like this?

You can post it as a Blog. Thats what a lot of us are doing. Eventually I'll have discussion threads on Blogs as well. Still working on that mechanic. Once the new Franchising.com goes live I'll have a lot more time on my hands. Been working on it late days and weekends for 2 months. Looking forward to launching it.
