When Something Goes On Thats Not Right....

I know a few of you have had account issues in the past. We've had bannings, we've had lock outs, we've had bugs. This is part of the game development world. Sometimes flukes happen, sometimes incompatibility happens.

A little while ago Richtor got banned for something he did not do. He came to me and told me what happened and I contacted some people and found out what happened. Richtor is back because he took the time to talk to me instead of lashing out.

The Gaiscioch family is very well respected and very well connected within the MMO world. I have contacts within most of the major MMO companies and have no problem contacting them to get what information I can.

I want to ask you all before you lash out and start blowing things up please come talk to me. We will work things out, find out what needs to be done to solve the issue. Stomping feet, pointing fingers, and causing a scene are not what you need to do to make someone want to help you.

Just like when you have an issue with people. If you come in hot, they will respond hot. Aggressiveness breeds Aggressiveness. It's really hard to be mean to someone that is so nice to you. I just ask that you come to me before you act. We can and will work through this together.

As much as I can appreciate you using your contacts to help the guild with issues, sometimes there is a reason for blowing up. I shall not go into it but I am angry a trion, it's a legitimate anger but they are going to do nothing about it. Based on their own rules, I doubt you can fix this, and I would like to point out to fellow members that Fog knows the difference between a mistake and something you shoulda seen coming.

Hey, just wanted to stop in real quick and say that the issue I was so frustrated with a couple days ago has finally been resolved. While I don't think I mishandled the situation, I do understand Fog's desire to maintain a healthy, happy relationship with the various MMO devs of the world. It's just not worth it to be on their bad side. Anyway, I remain displeased that it took so long to get fixed (or happened in the first place), but I'm glad that I was able to return to Rift. I'll see you all in Vent, and happy hunting.

Well the good news is that Trion is hiring weekend CSR's so they can be open on weekends now. So look forward to Customer Service on weekends soon.

Just throwing a bottle of rum into the mix... Fogs words are very wise, but I know first hand how upset one can be when their gaming addiction is taken away especially when it isn't their fault - so tempers will flair. It is like a punch in the gut when you can't log on after a stressful day of work and there is no one around to help you figure out why. This is where the bottle of rum comes in... a few drinks while watching a movie helps you calm down so you can figure out who to talk to... now I know that's Fog :)
