Crazy, I grew up just south of there and my mom is worried that the dam at Tuscarora will give way (we had a scare in 2006). And my sister-in-law just went to Wyscox, Pa to visit her fiance and is stuck there until things get cleared up.

wow hun when I used to do circuit board engineering there was a large plant in binghamtown called univeral that made machine parts for automated equipment consumables, hopes it wasnt affected nor folks jobs like you and your brother. Also my salute for you and your brother rescuing folks and stranded pets .. the 4 legged friends someimes get stiffed in situations like this .. salute! your kindness is great.

I am so sorry. I know things have been rough for you but this will pass. It will. As long as you are alive you can start again. I want to thank you sincerely for rescuing evacuees and animals even during your own time of troubles. I have been in devastating floods, to the point of having to be rescued off my rooftop because the water was up to the roof. Several times I have lost everything to floods. So I speak from experience. You can and will get through this. It seems so overwhelming and immediate because it is happening to you right now, but the grief and shock and dismay will become easier to cope with and will fade. 4 people rescued 8 dogs 3 cats and 1 canary tryed to get a bow cronsriter but was not gonna play around with a frieghten 5 ft snake and unfortunatly universal plant is under water about 3 feet

What is your situation right now? Are you staying at a shelter? Relatives?

i am at my brother at the moment i went to my house earlier today and fell to my knees when i saw all the damage nothing is left of my stuff the house actually moved 4 feet off the foundation even the attic was flooded

That's terrible news about your house and belongings, but it's good to hear that you are staying with family during this difficult time. Remember that all necessary physical items and housing can be replaced, and the sentimental items we lose we can hold in our memory. Make sure to utilize assistance programs. Good luck and keep us posted. (BTW, I googled it and boa constrictors can swim, so don't be too upset about leaving it behind. It should be alright, find mice to eat, and should be able to care for itself in the wild. From Wikipedia: Habitat Boa constrictor flourishes in a wide variety of environmental conditions, from tropical rainforests to arid semi-desert country. However, it prefers to live in rainforest due to the humidity and temperature. It is commonly found in or along rivers and streams, as it is a very capable swimmer.)

I wish I had the words to make you feel better however there are none. I just wanted to let you know I am thinking of you and your family and wish there was more I could do. At least you and your family are safe and can support each other during this difficult time.
