Anybody still playing Guild Wars? Scheduling some GW time (PvE)

I recently picked up Eye of the North for Guild Wars thinking to get reacquainted with the game and get some of those nifty rewards from the Hall of Monuments. I found that most of my characters had been wiped out and their equipment had been destroyed. That's OK, I still had several level 20 characters with unlocked heroes. However, Guild Wars is much more fun when you're part of a guild (I know, go figure) and the missions are much more fun when played with people instead of just heroes/mercenaries.

Is anybody still playing GW? I'm currently playing as I can but I'd be more than happy to set aside a fixed time/days to get to play with Family. I have all the campaigns, although the only one I've finished on any character (and that character doesn't exist anymore) is the original campaign that was renamed Prophecies. However, I do have Factions and Nightfall and several characters to spread the love as needed.

I've completed every campaign on several characters and have over 30/50 HoM so I don't really play much anymore. I am helping some people work to get to 30/50 HoM so if you see me on Rift feel free to ask and I can come help. My Rift character's name is schaab and my GW character name is Warriorof Valhalla (no space in between warrior and of). Hope to play with you sometime!

I bought GW a few months ago, but haven't completed any of the campaigns yet. I wouldnt mind hopping back on if I knew someone to play with. My GW character is Biologic Kal.

Inja and I are, but we haven't been on in a while, since we were distracted with some other games. :) We're fairly busy trying to get our Defiant mains up to level 50, but I'm hoping we'll be able to get in some more Guild Wars action once we're there. We haven't even started our Hall of Monuments, yet.

I know there have been a LOT of changes since release, and I think there are probably several people who would like to go through the campaigns and gear up for HoM or just for the storyline. Yes, Guild Wars could be very PvP-centric but it required a lot of PvE investment to unlock skills (unless you bought the skill unlocks) and equipment unlocks. My GW character is Elsimer Dragonsworn. I'm not in a guild at the moment, if anybody is in Gaiscioch (or since Gaiscioch is pretty dead in GW just about any guild would probably be helpful) I'd love an invite. For those who don't know or remember, in GW guilds are part of the account not the character.

I got it a couple months ago with the intention to get some HoM stuff, but its not really a solo friendly game even with mercs so I havn't played it since, would be willing to play with ya tho to get some.

I've been playing infrequently, though I'll probably be playing it more starting in mid-Oct. (Thinking about letting the Rift account run out then.) I'd be happy to run with you all and get the HoM filled up. (Just watch out if I'm healing though -- I think Alesia may laugh at my monking sometimes ;) )

I'd be happy to help out once I get my new, replacement computer back. I'm at 23/50 in HoM and would like to get to 30/50 before GW2 comes out. I'll check into this thread once I'm able to play and I'll be more than happy to help out.

You know, I've had the full Guild Wars set for quite some time. Had Factions since it was the only campaign available. I can't ever seem to really get a feel for the game though. It seems to play much differently (for me at least) than other MMO's. Initially I took a monk because I was excited at the thought of a martial artist character, only to find out that the monk is a healer (was bummed). Rolled a ranger and have been thinking about making a dervish. I would love to deck out my HoM before release of GW2. Any advice or suggestions are highly welcome.

I have the same problem Draegon, the game feels awkward and unforgiving. Can't seem to find a class I like either.

I've had a hard time playing it as well. Because *everything* requires a full group to do, you mostly end up running with 7 mercenaries all the time. You have very limited control over the mercs so it feels like you're barely contributing to the game and its mostly the computer playing against itself. Maybe I'm missing something, but I just don't feel particularly heroic.
