Hey everyone,
I've finally built a way that people can Leave the family. Never really had the need for it but now that were sending regular newsletters I wanted to make sure that people know that theirs more then one option when leaving the family.
Leaving the family is always a tough subject. For the person leaving and their friends within the family. The thing I want to encourage all of us to remember is that the Gaiscioch family is about Player Satisfaction and enjoyment of the game. We'd rather see you happy then have you miserable with our tag over your head.
There are a few ways we handle this. The first is what I encourage anyone thinking of trying a new guild. You can change your status to a Friend of the Family which will stick your account in dormant mode. When and if you ever decide to play with us again whether it's as a family member or a tuatha member your account, your victories, your credits will all be preserved and waiting for you upon your return.
The second option is a much more severe option and I don't recommend doing this unless you know 100% that you no longer want to have anything to do with us, now or ever. Changing your status to "Leave the Family" will result in your account getting flagged for removal. You will have a 7 day Rage-Prevention period where you will have the ability to stop the deletion before it's too late. If your account does not get unflagged for deletion within the 7 days everything you've logged, done, earned, or said will be removed from the site and any record of your involvement will be purged forever. There is no coming back and restoring your account with this option. If in the future you decide to rejoin you'll have to start from scratch.
Now realize, through our gaming lives we will all have moments where we want to try something different. I want to encourage you all to please don't deny yourself the ability to enjoy the game way you want to. If you want to try something go try something. Even if you leave the family you will be treated as family so long as you keep those blades out not in. You'll always be welcome at our events, always be able to join our ventrilo, and be more than welcome to continue using the website to keep and touch and mark your participation. If the day comes you wish to rejoin the family you'll be restored to your original rank and welcomed back with open arms.
Player Satisfactions is more important than the tag above ones head. Remember that and do what you want to do regardless if it takes you away from the family from a while. We'll be here when you get back.
