I am having a horrible time with their Synapse 2.0 Software. Half the time I can't get it to load or it says there is no mouse attached or if it does load it doesn't configure the mouse. I love the side buttons and bought it specifically for ESO. Any thought or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Meh, not fond of Razer products. I went through two Razer Nagas simply crapping out on me. Logitech G600 is loads better in regards to both hardware and software. As for your issue, have you tried a clean uninstall? If so, try hitting up their tech support.

I use razer deathadder and Logitech g13 and so far I'm happy with it.
I use both the Naga 2014 and the original Naga from 2009 on Windows 8. Have not been having any problems at all, but back on my old Windows 7 install it would lose setting once in a while and revert to default hotkeys.
I also use the Razor Nostromo, which never has any problems.
@Valed - tried a clean install twice and even exchanged the mouse. The first mouse was just defective in as much as the lights would only work intermittently.
@Botak Thanks for that thread! That facebook thread shows I am not the only one with the same issue. Synapse works at the initial install then never again!!
So far tech support is really lacking. I like the design of the product so I may just bag the software all together and just program through the game.
@Kale I kind of wonder if some of the issues are related to Windows 8. Razer claims they are Win 8 ready but I just question that.

Are you running Synapse as Admin?
@CaptainYamerica I can't even get it to load to make myself an admin lol. I was considering returning it for the Logitech but I do like how the side buttons are designed. So I guess I will just keybind within the games. I did want to customize the lighting but that will have to wait till they get the bugs fixed.

I use my Naga without Synapse, just plug and play without installing the software. I find Razer's software to be incredibly problematic. I've never used a Logitech MMO mouse but I have one of their G35 headsets and I love it.
I also run my Razor Naga without Synapse. I did install it last month to try it out along with their Game Booster. I had no issues but I did notice they just did a recent update. If you just installed it maybe you can try a previous version if they are available.
Do you guys run it as wireless or wired? I can't seem to get the wireless to work.
I also had 2 nagas that never worked correctly. I now have the Logitech G600 and love it!
My Naga is wired, I've never had the courage to purchase a wireless mouse for gaming.
I have the Naga Epic and use Synapse 2.0. I always have mine wired in though, not sure if that makes a difference. That and I always run the program as administrator.
I have a Naga since they came out with a Lefty version. I always run it wired, because whenever I used a wireless mouse, the darned batteries would die right in the middle of a boss fight. Every. Time. I run it without the Synapse software and just change the hotkeys in each game. Mine is working just fine.
i spent like $15 on a perixx programmable gaming mouse, works great and has color changing lights cheap effective love it!
I had a razer mouse for a while (not a naga) and after about it year, it suddenly went bonkers. Think the laser crapped out. Have had an anker for a while and really like it.
I bit the bullet on a Naga 2014 for ESO recently and love it so far. Working fine so far wired and on windows 8.
I had a Naga and loved it, but like many many others mine just decided to give up the ghost one day, double clicking all the time, mis-tracking, etc... I replaced it with the Logitech G600 and never looked back.
I prefer the shape of the Naga and it's simple setup, but they're just not at all reliable.
Have a naga epic as does m'man; HEAVY use for both gaming and digital design and thus far (three months) nothing but epic win. The programmable/macroable keys are especially helpful and Synapse has been remarkably well behaved for me (given the review and links I see here).

My wired Naga mouse is wired and other than the user initiated error I haven't had any problems. I don't use any special software with it.
Im running the naga 2014and a nostromo at the moment I have to say it makes keying skills on the fly and manuvering sooo much easier but the 12 button set up takes some getting used too. While i didnt have issues with the naga there were a few software hiccups with the nostromo, so id say dont give up if your having issues logitech has its issue too.
I have used it for about a year now and have noticed that using it wirelessly is an absolute joke and does not work well at all. I suggest using it wireless and plugged into a (main) USB port on your computer. I had mine running through an external hub for a little while to minimize wire tangling but it just made it much worse. As for the Razer Synapse haven't had much problems with it but when ever I do I usually just un plug the mouse and wait about 30 seconds, plug it back it and then I am usually good to go.

I have 4 of those mice, 2 older ones for our desktop gaming rigs, a 2014 version for my gf's gaming laptop, and I use the naga epic for my gaming laptop, I have had a few go kaput on me but honestly after using them can't imagine playing an MMO without one. I don't even bother installing the synapse software.
IMO, too many buttons can be a detriment to the function of a device. The Naga has too many buttons - it just doesn't feel natural trying to thumb all those buttons. For me, the Logitech G700 hits every possible thing right. It's wireless and wired. It's got range-set DPI. It has the perfect amount of buttons and a great layout of those buttons. It fits great in the hand (right-handers only). And it has great software support (something Razer has always been terrible with). The G700 is just perfect.
I do have a Razer Nostromo, but I've had every iteration of the Nostromo since the N50 when it was a Belkin product. The fact that the Nostromo's form and function is so perfect is a reflection of Belkin's product design, not Razer's. The polishing that Razer has done to it is nice, however, and it is the one product Razer makes that I will stand behind. The software is lacking, but it works well enough to make the Nostromo hand's down the only gaming device I can't live without.
That being said, for ESO, I think the best input device is the Xbox 360 controller.
