Suggestion - Shoutbox?

I was thinking it would be nice to have a Shoutbox on the site. Someplace for everyone to say a quick hello without making a thread or logging on RC if you are not able to.

Im not sure if it is even possible on our site but I figure it wouldnt hurt to throw the suggestion out there.

If there's a solid 3rd party one that is external I wouldn't be opposed but chat apps require a lot of bandwidth and processor time. Would slow our site down even more than it is already.
