Returning to GW2

Hey all, wife and I are returning to GW2, yay! We joined back in Rift, left to play SWTOR, came back for GW2 and then ESO, and then left to check out Wildstar for a bit. After getting a little bored there we decided to give MMO's a break and played Divinity: OS and then some Torchlight 2. I've been missing GW2 recently though and with the upcoming expansion we thought we'd jump back in. Looking forward to rejoining the guild and having some fun. We may delete our original chars (highest we ever got was lvl 30) and start over since I can't remember much of the story and starting fresh may be fun. Guess we'll see. :)

I wouldn't delete the old toons because now the dye system is account bound, same as the skins, and you might get an unidentified dye out of repeated colors. Unidentified dyes now only appears when leveling up or buying those in the Laurel vendor, they Do Not drop anymore.

Thanks for the tip. Perhaps I'll keep my lvl 30 and just delete the lower ones then (lvls 10 or less). 

You can get into the lowbies and pick them clean before deleting them, also get into the pvp myst area, I unlock several skins there. Remember that now money is account bound!

I recently returned to GW2 also.  I didn't delete any toons.  Instead I started a new toon and leveled her up to lvl 50ish while relearning the game.  Now I am returning to my earlier toons again.  You can get a toon expansion upgrade (to increase the number of toons you are allowed to have) for not too much.  Also, you may find a bunch of presents in your mail that allow you to level any toon immediately to lvl 20.

Logged into my lvl 13 last night to check him out. I think we're gonna delete our lvl 13's and restart them as their the classes/races we want to play, but want to restart the game fresh. We'll leave our other toons as is. Thanks for the help all.

Welcome back! I had a bad case of MMO burnout for awhile, too. I played some VTMB, Dragon Age, and Pokemon ORAS, along with getting hooked on genealogy. Genealogy is extremely addictive!

i'd hang on to at least your oldest toon, since the toon birthday gifts tend to get better the 'older' they get.
