Keep in mind this video has very basic gameplay, but it does show collision (as far as I can tell, yay for warhammer players) and there's a ton of great effects for various classes specially elementalist and necromancer.

Hard to gauge what it's really going to be like, since for most of this they are just beating on that one Charr player. Not sure who's pet the scorpion-like thing is, but I'm not a fan of it's attack animation. It seems to only spam that tail flip the entire time. Hopefully they'll add some diversity to the combat animations.
Actually that video is from one of the events that takes place, and the char that wont die is probably the boss, then again maybe it's a GM.(You'll notice because all the ones actually being killed never enter the downed state, where as the players do.) As far as I know there haven't been any videos released of actual PvP combat yet, we can hope they actually show us how it handles soon.
You sure? I could swear there's two sides with a variety of different races on each side.
EDIT: Bah, I think you're right. There's only a few mobs that spawn during the fight besides the players. I'll have to change the thread title. Damn Arenanet is keeping a tight lid on PvP information-thought I had finally found something.

Pretty sure, because the area looks like the pirate/bandit raid event. All the norn, humans, and char look like the NPC variety you encounter, that and the no downed state for the enemies.
Besides, if any PvP footage had been released, I'm almost certain it would have been plastered everywhere on the net by now.
@Edit - Who knows, maybe their 'big news' that's being rumored for the next upcoming event will be some PvP footage.

Vamp, I believe their keeping pvp for their hometown based pax. It goes alpha this fall and beta in the winter. The way ther doing their pr campaign it seens every week they release a little piece of candy. Every two weeks their launching a feature pr like underwater combat. Trion did this and it created a viral buzz. Very effective. Downside is they have to keep us on a string and feed us tiny bits of information.
