On another slightly unrelated note, I finally got to 30 on my Hall of Monuments unlocks! Hurray! (Just displayed the last armor I needed before heading off to work, it's almost silly to feel this satisfied over something like this.) For any of those curious to see the items, here's my HoM link - http://hom.guildwars2.com/en/#page=main&details=EdAAAAAwuOCAgACAAgDEAAgAAAIAAAAAREEIAAAAAAA Just hover over any of the items, or click them for a look at their art and descriptions.(Pretty sure one all the way to 30 has been posted before, but I can't for the life of me remember.) Huzzah!
NICE work. I'm at 23/50 atm aiming for 30 myself. Congrats for sure.
Mmm delicious necro. I really hope Sylvari look like forest nymphs and not green elves, I want a sylvari necromancer so badly.
I'm trying so hard to play GW1, I've made 5 different character and couldn't get past level 5...Questing is so terrible, no tracking, horribly limited idea where to go and what to do. Can't seem to find a profession that isn't weird, the skills seem so ill efficient.
Checking out your guide on the easy 15 steps makes me even more confused.
How long does it take to get through each campaign? How do I get Hero's? I've got EotN but I don't see its campaign, do I have the beat the others first?
I'll be in Vent for a few days, see if ya can catch me in there so we don't have to play tag.

@Vampyre - Thanks, let me know if you need any help. Still trying to help Iso get to HoM so she can get her unlocks, seeing as she only wants to get to the jellyfish and we already have everything she needs.
@Isthon - As far as I can tell from the screenshots, they are nypmh/dryad like. They seem to have leafy hair and all that. I'll see if I can dig up some pictures.*Edit - Found the pictures I was thinking of on the main site: http://www.guildwars2.com/global/includes/images/screenshots/sylvari/sylvari-01.jpg and this one http://www.guildwars2.com/global/includes/images/screenshots/sylvari/sylvari-03.jpg
@Wolfie - It's all really just about what you want your character to do. Stay at range and dps, get in close and bash them in the face, stay back and keep everyone alive, or play a more support/interference role. Once you decide on that, it narrows it down a lot. Don't stress too much about your secondary class, it's more there for complimenting skills from your primary, or making up for what it lacks. If you need any help, I'd be happy to offer up some ideas/suggestions.
I'll let Vampyre handle helping you on the guide, as they wrote it.
As for how long the campaigns can take, it all depends on how much you play, if you focus on the story quests, and if you have help. Some campaigns can be longer than others, such as Nightfall and Factions, where you have to do a bit of title grinding. I'd say if you have help you could probably finish a campaign in under a week.
Hero's are something that were added in the Nightfall campaign, you get them by following the story, and they will unlock themselves for you. EoTN is the same, in that all the hero's you get are unlocked as you follow the story. The only exception is a few 'hidden' characters that you have to do extra things outside the story plot to get. (IE Razah and Olias.)
EoTN can be reached the moment you get to the major port city for any of the three campaigns. You'll need to take a quest from a different NPC based on which campaign you're currently in, and if I remember correctly you have to be level 10 or 15 or some such. After that, you'll go down into a cave, and find the event leading to the Asuran Gate which takes you to the EoTN areas. The nice part is your character will be bolstered to 20 when you go there(if not already) and you can purchase max weapons and armors from the vendors in the starting chamber.
If anyone needs help, feel free to ask, I'll be happy to do what I can while I'm still helping Iso.

Figure I'll go ahead and drop these in here as well, for anyone who hasn't already seen them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7_FoVtFjys&NR=1 Ascalonian Catacombs Dungeon Cinematic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgESC2Bosf0&NR=1 Combat game play in the dungeon
Zerona, sylvari are being heavily reworked by the same person who did the charr females, they say.
Thread on it: http://www.guildwars2guru.com/forum/back-their-roots-sylvari-redesign-t10565.html
From http://tap-repeatedly.com/2011/04/06/exclusive-interview-arenanets-daniel-dociu-part-3/ ,
"For some races the early design didn’t stand the test of time. You build and implement things, some grow on you and some tend to age poorly and beg for redesign. The sylvari were one of those cases where one of the artists on the team — she really came up with a new vision of what they should be and how to go about it and was itching to give them a re-work."
Honestly, I want something like this: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:Sylvari_07_concept_art.jpg

Thanks for that info, like you, I really hope they stick to a nymph/dryad-like appearance. I can't honestly say I'm sad to hear they're reworking them to be honest, they -did- look sub-par compared to the other races. Well, here's hoping.
I'm hoping that she'll make the race much less human in appearance, while maintaining a vaguely human look - something alien and curious like that concept I posted.
She is the same woman who redid the female Charr to not have human breasts (which I thought was great, as Charr really should be bestial and not humanoid). Since she was so willing to veer Charr away from being too humanoid, I hope the same will be done to Sylvari so as to avoid 'green humans/elves lolo'.
Also, to be honest, I hope she makes them somewhat girly at the same time. I want them to be somewhere in between cute, alien, and creepy. But I'm also a nymph/monster girl fanboy, so.
