Has there been a discussion regarding what race Gaiscioch will be moving to? I assume, at least initially, they would want to keep us all together.

Not quite sure what your talking about. If your talking rift were on both sides. If your talking gw2 any race you like.
Yea, I was trying to post this in GW2. Guess I missed. If it's Realm vs. Realm PVP I figure they must be pit the races, or group of races, against each other. Just wanted to see what was being planned for affiliations. I hadn't even heard of it until you mentioned it in the Newsletter. Now I wish it was here now! Looks really nice. I'm thinking Norn here for starters.
GW2 is Server vs Server vs Server. Your server is your nation and you fight other nations for control of the warzone. Each week the servers change up so your not stuck fighting the same people every week.
Right, any member of any race can play together on the same server. Norn are the Viking-Celt equivalent, something to consider with this guild.
Remember guys, Play how you want, when you want, as long as you want. We will be all races. Remember that when we move to GW2 we will be the majority of the population on the server. We want to make sure all races get played so all races get exposed to us coming out of the game. After PAX I'll have some questions answered about guild forming and what the limits are. We'll know a lot more then. I personally will have a Asuran and a Human. Conchobair will likely be Asuran, while Foghladha will be human. Might play with some of the other races as well. Norn while their celticish were not my favorite because their model is bigger than most. This makes you a very easy target and hard to conceal. I prefer ducking behind walls, trees and bushes.
Bah humans .. while they try to look like dwarfs, their ape like features will always shine thru ;b Booie is going to be Asuran
I'll prolly be Norn, the Sylvari look interesting tho...might have an alt one of those.
Charr for the win here.
norn/charr :D already thought of my names...
I see a novel on the website that's supposed to set up the storyline to GW2. Has anyone read it yet? "Ghosts of Ascalon" it's called. http://www.guildwars2.com/en/shop/ghosts-of-ascalon/
Sylvari Engineer. I'm sure I'll have an army of alts aside from that though.
Going Norn Warrior or Guardian. Snow Leopard as my animal form (if it has stealth). :)
Sylvari Ranger/Theif
Sylvari Ranger for my main, definitely. I'll end up having characters of every race and class though, I'm sure.
I'm leaning Sylvari (winter) Ranger and of course a human MESMER!
I cant decide weather to play a ranger or a thief...
It'd be a hard decision. In a lot of ways the two classes will play pretty similarly as a ranged bow class (heck a ranged warrior might even be an option in that case). Their melee styles and secondary abilities is really where they'll differ (pet vs ability to steal usable items). For me and my class decision it comes down to what class can literally be more of a road block to help be the "tank wall" for a pseudo pandora box. Right now, I'm certain the guardian can do that with various abilities, but I'm not sure what the warrior will be capable of doing. The warrior sounds more like a 1on1 roadblock where it sounds like the guardian can put up barriers (circle or wall) that prevent movement/damage against multiple enemies.
I see the size appeal of Asuran, of course, but I'm not crazy about the models I've seen to date. Pretty doll-like. Currently I'm leaning Sylvari (winter) Necro! Or maybe Mesmer, if that's really profession #8. :)
@Lakshmi Found this a while back before Engineer had been announced, but despite the fact the class is wearing a mask doesn't automatically mean it's a mesmer, though one can hope.(I know I am.) Not to mention the fact they can completely change things they've already done, such as redesigning the engineer before it was released, and completely redoing the models for Sylvari. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ni75p3vvris&feature=related
I will be Sylvari chica! They look so awesome :) I like Norn girls too but they are a little tall for pvp. The more I see of this game the more I cannot wait to play it, it looks fantastic and I love too many things to mention in one post!
Sylvari Necro main!
such a copyface!!! <3 I might go elementalist so we arent ttwiins of doom!
I hope we get a early beta invite as a whole guild!:)
Slyvari Ranger, Charr Engineer
If anyone is considering a Sylvari Warrior, do it. I saw a player with a Sylvari Warrior at PAX with a 2h Greatsword....
Bad
Freakin'
Ass.

I'm thinking Norn warrior. RE: sylvari warrior: Do weapons not scale with the size of the character model?
Weapons scale a bit, but with that said...it seemed the smaller the character model, the more the weapon seemed oversized. With the sylvari, the 2h sword's length was about the same as the sylvari's height. That plus the way the sylvari held the weapon was a great combo.
Anet said that the hitbox for all classes will be the same, regardless of character size. However, for PvP, I think I might stick with an asura. ;) @ Onchu: "Ghosts of Ascalon" and the second book, "Destiny's Edge" were both good. The third book, "Sea of Sorrows" will be coming out in March 2012, I believe.
Thanks Revyn. I have Ghosts of Ascalon ordered. I read some excerpts from the first chapter and it hooked me.
New to the family but been waiting for GW2, and Charr all the way. Gotta love the "bad" guys :)
