Last call for freebies in GW1

Well, last call if anyone needs anything for GW1, I have skill books, trans potions, keys, I think I still have some mats, money, whatever you need to help you get some of your unlocks for GW2.

Just let me know here in this thread if you need anything and I'll try to get with you in game to suit you up.

My wife and I started playing GW1 for the first time ever a few months ago. What we really need is more time to play because we're too distracted with Rift. :) We haven't even started on the unlocks, yet, so we have a long way to go.

My guildwars account is locked because I cannot for the life of me remember what my character names were in the game.

I also have several tons of goodies after playing GW for 6 years. Reply here and I can help set some people's HoM up for GW 2

Be sure to leave some times of when you'll be about in GW, so that anyone offering out stuff to those who need it can get in touch with you in the game.(I REALLY hope GW2 has a auction and mail system.. That's two of the things I hated the most about GW1)

Is it really worth it to do all the unlocks? I dont know what you get in GW2 with unlocks from GW1.

Unless you like titles, then no, it's not worth getting all of them. I only have up to 30 unlocked, which is all of the items. Some of the unlocks are pets that you'll only have access too from the HoM, others are unique weapon or armor skins, mini pets, and of course titles.

I would love to deck out my HoM, but I don't have the first clue on how to do so. I've tried reading online to see how to go about it, but the guides always seem written from the perspective of someone who already knows exactly where to go and what to do.

For the HoM, the first thing you need is the Eye of the North expansion, and one of the three base games.(Prophecies, Nightfall, Factions, or all of them) Then you have to take your character to Eye of the North and go through several of the quests until you reach the Eye. Then, in the back, you'll find a room, which is the HoM. Now, the next thing you need to do... Is either buy the tapestries you need to unlock each alcove of your HoM, or just complete the Eye of the North expansion story, which will give you all the tapestries you need for free.(Along with all the other goodies, and loot you can put towards buying, crafting, things you need for your HoM unlocks) At this point, once each of your alcoves are unlocked, you can then begin dedicating elite armors, special weapons, mini pets, pets/companions, and titles to each of the alcoves. That's the most clear and concise way that I've ever seen that posted, so yeah. Many thanks! :D I've actually had Guild Wars since it was first released, I just never really got into it too much as my friends were WAY more into WoW. I even purchased each of the expansions as they came out.

Just noticed this thread, I too have been confused about how to fill out my HoM, I used the checker page and I have 9/50, but is it only really worth going to 30? Reading about it made me want to go in and take a look, and now I am all fired up about running around completing some more stuff in GW! Is there a family guild currently in there? Or would anyone like to add to friends list? I have a ton of stuff still to do in GW, I got waylaid with RL and then other games a while ago.

There is a guild there, yes, thought not many people are on that often, or at all. I sadly don't have much if any time for GW1 anymore(hence why I made this last call thread), but I do still have some items and stuff that could be used towards helping you get some of your unlocks. Such as Zkeys, a couple unded mini pets, and I think some elite armor mats. As for it it's worth only going to 30, that's really up to you. The reason I say 30 is because after you reach the 30th unlock, there are large gaps(as in 4 unlocks) where you get nothing, with every 5th unlock getting you a new title up to the 50th unlock. The titles are 35 "Ghostly Hero", 40 "Flameseeker", 45 "Legend of the Mists", and 50 "Champion of the gods". There are no items or pets after 30, but there are still 4 titles, so what may not seem worth it to me, may be worth it to someone else.(But keep in mind just getting to 30 is a -lot- of work.)

Well I have just completed Nightfall. I had previously done Proph, Factions and EotN, and I have now gotten Ancient armor and Norn armor statues. I am going to work on Vabbian next. I have 60% of the 20 mini pets. Which unded minis do you have? I will check to see if they are ones I don't have. I don't have anything on the weapons yet, and only MOX on the hero armor, but I am just about geared up ready for Glints Challenge so I should get some hero armor sorted out soon. Yes it is a lot of work!! I didn't realise how much, and wow I forgot just how ENORMOUS guild wars is!! Having fun though, it's nice to catch up on the GW story and I plan on doing the 'Guild Wars Beyond' I don't expect I will put more than a few more weeks into it because I want to resub to Rift soon.

I just started GW1 in preparation for those events we're running in February. I hope to grind out some HoM points too since the enthusiasm for GW2 seems to be on the rise. So, happy to receive anything you can share that's helpful for a new GW player - especially a guild invite! My toon is Lakshmi Windcaller. She's level 4 atm, with full bags hehe.

Anyone roaming GW1 add Sotho Grudgegear to your friends list, and I'll try and get some goodies out to you, as well as guild invites if no one else gets it taken care of. I'm not in GW1 very much if at all anymore, but I'll try to start checking in for people when I'm online and helping out where I can.
