Guild Wars 2 Collector's Edition announced and priced!

So today ArenaNet revealed the contents of the collector's edition for GW2. Preorders will open April 10th.

The contents of the collector's edition are:

- 10 inch Rytlock figure
- 112 page Making of Guild Wars 2 book
- Best of Guild Wars 2 Soundtrack
- Art Portfolio and Five Art Prints
- Custom Art Frame
- A skill to summon a Mistfire Wolf Elite combat pet
- Mini Rytlock companion pet.
- Chalice of Glory (One time use item to get extra Glory. PVP usage)
- Golem Banker (Personal banker, but it says for only 5 days?)

And one of the coolest thing..

- Tome of Influence (Gives your guild a one time boost of influence. Used to buy vaults, emblems, etc)

If you pre-order ANY version of the game, you get access to the beta weekends, a Hero Band item (+2 power, +2 precision, +2 toughness, + vitality, +2 condition damage, +2 healing, and +2% critical damage)

You also get access to the three day head start.

Also, here are the minimum system reqs: Windows® XP Service Pack 2 or better Intel® Core™ 2 Duo 2.0 GHz, Core i3, AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 or better NVIDIA GeForce 7800, ATI Radeon X1800, Intel HD 3000 or better. (256MB of video RAM and shader model 3.0 or better) 25GB of free space on HDD

Just and FYI, the system req may change as well. and Saving for the CE edition :)

I know from guild wars, Arena net tends to put out some really nice CE's. Still have my artbook from nightfall though the rest of that box has long since disappeared. That price tag may take some scrimping though. Guess it'll give me an excuse to cut down on my coffees. :P

I read somewhere that even though those system specs are pretty low people have been playing beta with even lower specs.

I already have it preordered through Gamestop. I think I'm going to have to remove them and get right from the source though. I don't really want to have to worry about dealing with beta weekends and headstart through a 3rd party company where (as with several other games) there have been issues. April 10th.. can hardly wait :D

I will be out of town until the 12th so here's hoping there wont be some sort of lock on how many they can sell digitally. I think I will get the digital delux DL. I really wanted a box but to be honest the CE doesnt have enough for me to take on a purchase and the reg. edition doesnt have enough. Sooo here's hoping the digital deluxe wont be more than 79.99

I didn't get the SWTOR CE because I thought it was too expensive (also $150). However, since I'm a GW/ArenaNet fanboy, I'll likely be getting this. ;) Also, the CEs for Prophecies/Factions (that you can't get in stores anymore) tend to go for upwards of $300 on Ebay nowadays...

I'll get the digital collectors edition, don't really care for physical stuff. Figurine, artbook, and soundtrack isn't screaming 100 dollar markup to me.

Think I'm going to have to start saving up for this (hate to think what the price will inflate to in $AU in spite of our strong dollar). I'm a complete sucker for computer game art books and Guild Wars 2 is most definately excelling in concept art.

I'll probably just get the digital deluxe edition. I'd like the digital items, but don't feel like dishing out $150. That's a bit too much considering I'll probably be buying other in game stuff. It'll be interesting when they finally give a release date. That announcement can't be too far out if they've planned a CE already.

Usually the little statues in these are cheezy, but that one looks pretty dang stylish. I'd consider buying this.

Im not 100% sure here but, read the wording VERY CAREFULLY. It grants you access to all beta WEEKEND events. These might be very specific events every once in a while and NOT access to the normal beta. Just a heads up.
