GW2 beta weekend Q - Servers?

Since this beta is apparently not covered by the NDA from what I have heard, I hope this question is okay to ask.  If not, I apologize!

Does anyone know if ArenaNet will be(or already has?) putting out a list of servers for the beta, so that we can plan on where to gather?  I would like to reunite with some friends I haven't seen since I quit Rift! : )   I also have a group of friends from SWTOR who are eager to play alongside the Family.

Please check the official forums when you get access. We will have a post there to. Coordinate. Its going to be a several gb download. There's plenty of time to read the forums.

Fog do you know when the email is being sent out about the download? Ive pre purchased so im guaranteed access but not sure when to check for the email.

I am sure the e-mails will be sent out when they are ready to go. No idea when for sure. I have also pre-purchased so patiently waiting.

Bah! I am unavailable this weekend -----> :( sad face. So, if it isn't coverd by the NDA - hope you all post some impressions, but if it is I will understand I just need to wait for another one to roll around - unfortuanately at least 50 % of my weekends are tied up with friends and family (which in actuallity - isn't unfortunate... I love them)

can anyone tell me what the offical forums is, is that guildwars.guru and i thought that is the beta forums as of now any help would be great.

ArenaNet will give you a url to their official forums. Not allowed to pass it out as it's private atm.

I prepurchased too. I'll stay tuned for the beta forum info, and how to hook up with everyone. I'm pretty excited for this weekend! :)

Hello Family, I can not wait to game with the family again. Fog you have done an amazing thing bringing this many positive gamers together. This is the best gaming community to be apart of. I am bringing my soon to be wife with me. Best way to beat the wife enrage timer :} I have pre-ordered 2 copies, and we both will be on this weekend.>Jibbitsjr & Cuddly'wuddly< I will watch for server information on the forums. Let me just dust off my posting button... Hello once more Gaiscioch! I am pleased to see you all so interested in Guild Wars 2! I guess it's been a while since my ill-fated Slayer ran with you all. The very moment I saw how WvW was going to function, I knew I'd much rather be on a server with Gaiscioch than against it. As far as the beta goes, I, and the people I have been waiting for the game with, am going to be playing on Jade Quarry. I offer up this information to you, Foghladha. May our paths cross in the Mists, friends!

Once I get a official serverlist for the weekend betas ill spreed the word. Not sure if closed beta characters will still be there or not from previous weekends. My guess they'll wipe em all.

Looking forward to this weekend and rejoining the Gaiscioch!

Where did you get this list? Until we see an official list we wont know what servers are available. That looks like one of the early closed beta test lists which must have been leaked. I have not seen an official list posted yet.

just confirmed this list is not accurate. This list was from an earlier closed beta test. The official list has not been released.

Yea, sorry, that was an old list I was given under the impression it would be the servers for this weekend. The current list is up in that article.

Tarnished Coast is apparently the unofficial RP server. I like RP servers, but I know some in the family do not... figured I'd mention it anyway. I guess one could "Guest" to another server for RPing and stuff if they wanted to anyway, which is kinda cool.. if I am understanding what they've said publicly anyway.

This is just a Beta Weekend so I would not worry about RP servers and what not. The official server list at launch will most likely be different. Eternal Grove is just for the Beta Weekend.

And anyways Gaiscioch na Oghma is our roleplay branch. Any server we choose well encourage roleplay. If there are official roleplay servers we will likely roll on one. However remember in Rift Faeblight wasn't the unofficial roleplay server where the Roleplay comminity declaired home. However it is the only roleplay server still standing. Feel free to roll there but you always know where your family is. Well be here when ya wanna play with us.

Not worried, just thought I'd mention it. I was hoping Guesting would be up for the beta but it looks like it won't be in, but that isn't a big deal as I doubt I will spend much time RPing in this particular beta anyhow. Has ArenaNet stated if there will be RP servers yet? I will definitely be keeping my homeworld with the family. Perhaps at launch I can Ghost to unofficial RP communities if I so choose.

Ghosting is what I'm planning on doing for RP if Gaiscioch doesn't choose the "official unofficial roleplay server". Unfortunately they are region-locking, though, which is bad news for me since I like to play MMO's on Euro servers. :(

Thanks, Mezmer, and yes, that's the point. If I make my "home" server a Euro server, they I won't be able to WvWvW with Gaiscioch! Hm... but, now that I think about it, I wonder if the reverse is true as I assume. My ideal situation would be to have my home server be the Gaiscioch one so I could WvWvW with the family, and be able to ghost in order to do my isolationist quasi-roleplay thing on a Euro server. (I guess that would translate as a diehard soloer who roleplays and doesn't use voicechat and prefers to type in full sentences like a lot of Euros do. :P )
