Wow, long time no talk to everybody. I played in the beta this last weekend and had a complete blast.
When Warhammer got boring for me finally, I kinda just quit gaming entirely and dropped out of the whole internet scene. Read a bunch of books I'd been meaning to. Worked on a bunch of artwork my wife was bugging me to finish...
I hadn't even really thought about gaming until SWTOR came out, but that game was either shine like a diamond for me, or stink like a pile of garbage, and after I maxed a couple of characters and got tired of pointless pvp and desperately trying to find a friendly guild I gave up and resigned myself to being a jaded hasbeen when I comes to gaming.
But wait....
I got a newsletter from some website that I was still subscribed to a couple weeks back that mentioned something about Guild Wars 2 and the WvWvW combat and I was like 'Holy Crikey that sounds like Camelot my all time favorite game of all time forever!!!' I did more research, watched some videos, read some opinions from BW1 and immediately headed over and pre-purchased GW2.
I played twice over BW2, one night dedicated to PvE (wow, this is definitely promising) and the second night in WvWvW. Needless to say I was quickly impressed. The server I was on pretty much sucked (I've since learned that the dominant server in our group was tied for second in the last BW). But I quickly found a niche leading a ragtag group of diehards around capturing enemy supply points and generally creating havok. Had a wonderful time.
When the weekend came to a close I was left wanting more, and also realizing I'm going to want friends to play with on this one. I suddenly remembered this morning all the fun times I had in WAR with Gaiscioch and headed here wondering if my membership was still active/valid.
I'm very glad it is and am looking forward to playing with you all again.
Now the question...I'm almost afraid to ask....
Anyone remember me? Lol!!!
