The tribute to Old Roar is all over the net.

What a wonderful way to pay respect to someone so important to so many. Anyways, if you haven't noticed how big this is yet, "google" Sanctum of Rall and see what comes up.

This just makes me proud to be a part of such a great community and to be involved with such a classy game like GW2. You have to give it up for Anet. They do seem to care about their customers. Anyways, I just wanted to give you an idea of how this thing is growing in case you hadn't noticed. As a side note, don't be surprised if Sanctum of Rall fills up in record time, so you might want to get there early. All this attention has a lot of people that were unsure of server leaning towards the Sanctum of Rall.

As a new member of the guild, I didn't have the opportunity to meet Roger, or I would try to pay more of a tribute to him myself. Instead, I just wanted to direct your attention to how fast this tribute has grown in just one day. Good job to everyone that wrote letters, thanks for allowing me to participate in this community, and don't forget that Anet made it possible.

Please remember that even when a server says "Full" wait till off peak times and it will allow you in. Don't grow impatient and roll on another server it will cost you real money to get home. There should be plenty of room for everyone.

That's good information. I didn't know that. I know they opened the beta weekends about an hour early for both BWE1 and BWE2, so I'm just planning on being in there early, but if for some strange reason my job gets in the way, I'll just try that. Thanks.

That is a very good point Foghladha, I forgot that the account gets bound to a server upon sign up thanks for the reminder! I also had another question concerning guild size but will post that in the already established thread.

Higher population servers is definitely the way Anet wants to go for launch. My brother and I were on a dead server for stress tests and BWE2 and it wasn't a lot of fun: hard to find a group and WvW dominated by a full pop server. It seems like they're using BWE3 as a dress rehearsal for launch and I trust Anet enough to know that if they need to add servers for launch they will, and I'm sure they will. Still, it's great to see that our server is already taken care of for BWE3 and launch.

RedHugh, if we go high pop half our family wont be able to come with us. Keep in mind that Gaiscioch is 3400 people, their alliance however extends to 88 guilds. In the past we've always gone Low Pop servers and those low pop servers were the last surviving servers of their kind. Phoenix Throne (LowPop RP Server) -> Last Roleplay Server Badlands (Unpopular merger choice, low pop) -> Last server in Warhammer Online Faeblight (Unpopular Roleplay Server) -> Last Roleplay Server The server is what you make of it. If you make it a vacation destination that people talk about, population will come. First and foremost however we need to make sure we can secure a home for all of our family. Last thing I want to do is have half of you not able to come with us.

Does GW2 still have the overflow shards? People will be able to play and join the guild even if our server is full, right? In the early days of Rift, Faeblight had queues, but after a week or two they died down, and a month in, the queues were non-existant. Part of that is because they opened the other RP servers, Estrael and Shadefallen - and well, we know what happened there. It's best to go in expecting queues at game launch - Everybody is trying to get in and going at the same time, it just happens.

I was referring to Anet cutting the servers in half. I think it's a good idea for Anet to condense the servers for BWE3 in order to simulate launch. For BWE2 there were 40 servers and now there are 18. It looks like they are using BWE3 to try and simulate game launch by condensing the player base into a small amount of servers. I know it's probably better for our guild to be on a low population server, because of the size of the guild and the alliance. Most likely people are going to follow the guilds that did well in WVW in BWE1 and BWE2. I expect a lot of them to end up on Jade Quarry or some of the other servers that have been getting all the love in the forums. It must be difficult to organize an event like this for the guild. Thank you for trying to get a handle on the logistics of everything and provide a place for all of us to call home. Regardless, the servers are all zero population right now and will reset again before launch, so hopefully the goal of allowing the entire guild to get to one server will be realized. That's one of the reasons why I'm just posting in these forums, instead of the guru forums, reddit, or any of the other places where people are advertising their guilds. It seems like a good idea to keep it as low key as possible.

Yeah, I think the tribute was such a positive for both this community and for Anet that it's drawing a lot of attention from the unaffiliated player base that wants to be a part of a family that cares enough about their members to create a memorial server for a fallen member.
