I almost cried when i saw how similar WvWvW was to good old DAoC. The fact you can pretty much just create a toon and start from right there into it made it even more awesome. anyways last night was a blast! grabbed a few screenies.

Yeah, this was how you end the night! I havent had this much fun as a level 6,7,and 8 toon in years! :) August 25th cant get here fast enough!
Yeah last night was awesome! One of the big reasons for that old DAoC feel is that the lead WvW designer is from Mythic.
Lead WvW is from mythic? Cool! Makes me even happier about the game. Now they need to hire some daoc/mythic people for class development :P

Thats good to know! and does explain why if you stripped away the graphics it coulda easily been mistaken for playing DAoC. hehehe. I am really trying to not get too attached just yet though. its still early and I have been burned one too many times in the past with games and getting to hyped about them (DAMN YOU WARHAMMER!)
I heavily suspect this game was specifically designed for the express purpose of satisfying those who were burned by Warhammer. For example, I suspect it isn't a co-incidence that Warhammer initially advertised and failed to deliver 6 capital cities... and among the predominant things Guild Wars 2 shows off, just happens to be 6 fully fleshed out and completed capital cities.
Ahh the memories I will just have to hold onto for another month! Ok last night was awesome. We held this supply camp for hours, outnumbered at least 2-1, against hordes of red named bandits trying to steal our stuff. By the time we called it quits to play in the end of beta event we had over 15 siege weapons there. I wish I had taken a screenshot because it was epic. Thanks to everyone for making it so much fun! I can't wait until next month and we can do this on a nightly basis!
