To Do List:

Hi everyone!  I was hoping you could help me with a to do list, and see if I forgot anything. 

This is a list of stuff I was going to do immediately upon starting the game.  Everything from gems, to names, to pc settings.

     If you could either tack on a to-do to my list, or share your own to-do list so I can copy stuff from yours, that would be great!

So far, in no special order:

Game:

-get invites to all the Gaiscioch guilds before they fill

-create 2 primary names immediately, then delete them to get the 24 hour cooldown.  Come back, and re-create the characters slowly to get all the details in. 

Controls:

-turn on quick casting

-turn on enemy names

-setup the nostromo

Gems

-Buy gems, max out my bag slots (not sure how many that is >_>)

-trade gems to currency, help us get our guild funds up. 

-max out character slots

-use gold to pick up gathering tools immediately before i forget

Feels like there should be waaayyy more >_>

What is the 24 hour cooldown about? In beta I deleted a toon and reused the name right away.

So far, in no special order: Game: -get invites to all the Gaiscioch guilds before they fill Not required. In fact not allowed at first. We're all going into Gaiscioch at first. -create 2 primary names immediately, then delete them to get the 24 hour cooldown. Come back, and re-create the characters slowly to get all the details in. This is actually something I'll be doing, but I'll leave the character up until I get up the next day so I don't get that sinking feeling for 5 minutes that it was all a dream and that I actually forgot to do it. :P Controls: -turn on quick casting -turn on enemy names -setup the nostromo Gems -Buy gems, max out my bag slots (not sure how many that is >_>) I believe you can only buy 3 more additional bag slots for each character. They're 400gems each for 1200 gems total. -trade gems to currency, help us get our guild funds up. Make sure to do this asap because the exchange rate will plummet fast -max out character slots -use gold to pick up gathering tools immediately before i forget These are actually fairly cheap. You could just use money earned from quests to pick these up.

Turn on autoloot! Suggest turn on the auto-fast cast for AoEs. Myself, I'm a little nervous about reserving a name super fast with a character I'd be grumpy about playing, then deleting and hoping the name will be available to play. -- I say this just cuz I ran afoul of this with Sony/Everquest back in the day, and my awesome bard name (fugue) went bye-bye. :(

wolfie, vampiresbane, mulch, thanks for the reminders! Didnt realize the exchange rate goes up/down. Duh, and autoloot, didnt even think about that, good one! Lakshmi, with the name thing, if you create a character then delete a character, you keep the name for 24 hrs, so someone doesn't come in right behind you and steal it as soon as you delete it. Im going to create/delete, just to squat the name asap before anyone else takes it in the initial rush. Then Ill come back and take my time during the 24hr hold period. (Even though ive never had a problem with someone else named denji/denjin, the reason i use those names)

Ah I never knew it was reserved for 24 hours. I just tried to speed through the character creator, heh.

Due to playing in Star Wars and having Legacy names, I already have a second name selected so I am not tied to single name issue. Perhaps just come up with a family/clan/unique second name and skip the worries about single names?
