We're starting to see our troops jump out and cap Stonemist early while another group caps Sanctum and seals off the southern border to our homeland. We've been starting in the lead and running with it both stress tests.
This games WvW is incredibly addictive.
I can't wait for launch and hopefully a couple more stress tests.
I'm glad to see your excitement and without a doubt we'll do well come launch. One thing I just want to point out (without trying to dampen euthasiam) is you really should take what has happened in Betas or Stress tests with a grain of salt. It's a glimpse at best at what will actually happen. Come launch, the fights will be much bigger, much crazier, and last a TON longer.
WvW is like a giant chess game. I understand that stress tests and Betas aren't a good sample of how WvW will be in a 24 hour a day two week long slugfest, but it's encouraging to see our BWE3 records start to improve throughout the last two stress tests. I know I'm starting to learn what's important to accumulate points in WvW. It seems like capping Stonemist and holding it is huge, but equally important is clearing off your home land and keeping the other servers locked out of your own land. Eventually servers will learn to avoid the two keeps on entry to visiting worlds borderlands, but for now they just rush in and bang on the first gate they find. It's encouraging to see the improvement though. I'm starting to realize that aside from competitive pvp, I'll probably be in WvW the entire time, so watching our Beta WvW team grow and improve is a real delight.
I really want to do it, but gah... there's so much other stuff, too. One thing I'm enthused about is that Tyria seems like a good world, whereas the last couple years of gaming haven't felt like my worlds were interesting, or believable/immersive. So I may end up doing more PvE, ironically. But it's been just as long since I played a decent pvp game... ooh, damn you sun and your silly little 24-hr revolvings!
