The Gaiscioch Athletics Program

The Gaiscioch athletics program began originally in San Jose, California as a social gaming & athletics community. At it's inception the Gaiscioch formed 2 flag football teams which played once per week. This year round dual-season team went on to win a championship in the winter San Jose Parks & Recreation League, Division C in the Winter of 2002. The team ran through 2004 and even formed a softball team to play in a Twin Creeks Sunday Night league.

In 2005, Benjamin Foley moved north to Oregon along with Don Rush. The two ended up in Eugene, Oregon where in 2006 they re-formed the Gaiscioch in the Maximus Sports Flag Football League's Recreational Division. In their first season the Gaiscioch made it to the championship game to narrowly lose in double overtime. The team ran 2 seasons before suffering the loss of players due to the semi-pro tackle football season.

In 2010 after yet another move to Porland, Oregon, Benjamin Foley formed up the Gaiscioch Flag-Football team in the Men's League of Underdog Sports Portland Division. This highly recreational, non-contact league introduced with it a new wealth of opportunity and players. The Gaiscioch are actively seeking new players both men and women to run in their year round program.

The concept behind the Gaiscioch Athletics program is to allow players to form local athletic teams, whether it be football, bowling, softball, or any other recreational sport and use the Gaiscioch uniform designs, suppliers, and collateral to simplify running athletics activities. In the future we hope to stimulate more activity in this area helping spawn up Gaiscioch athletic clubs nation wide.
