Halloween Eve on ARK can be a very dangerous time.

Imagine a 5 story tall fire-breathing dodo bird, whose mission is to make you extinct.

When the creature first appeared near Maxina and Crickgy's home in Viking Bay we were excited to face the challenge.

Maxina prepared a pack of reapers, we both jumped on powerful shadowmanes, and road out to meet the beast, confidence high.

After it slaughtered all of the reapers, engulfed us in flames, turned Maxina's massive gate into kindling, and went on a rampage, we realized it was not going to be an easy fight.

We regrouped and decided that ranged attacks would be more prudent then charging in on mounts, so started to barrage the DodoRex with our sniper rifles, shotguns, rocket launchers, etc.

It took a long time and we all died many times, but eventually we brought it down, ironically with nothing to show for it, but our damaged armour and the satisfaction of the kill.
