DAOC

hey guys its been awhile since ive posted anything and this time I have a question,, im wondering if any one is playing DAOC??,,, I just downloaded the client for it and am in a battle with support trying to get my old accounts reactivated. its been 10 years since I played so its probly going to take them a month to get things back up and running.. when I left the game I was playing over on Bedevere (spelled that wrong probly) albion side.. from what ive heard I know they have merged servers a couple of times since I played but I was wondering if we had any presence in that area. 

We're also playing Warhammer Ltol :D come play with us! We need dem dragonriders :D

We have a Hibernian guild on Ywain 1 still but nobody really plays. This fall it goes free-2-play and we might see a spike. ATM Return of Reckoning private server is home to most of our old school action. See https://gsch.info/war 

I thought warhammer had been closed down??

Warhammer was. A bunch of fans from europe decided to get together and keep it alive. Now about 1000 people play it daily.

our are old toons available?? or do you have to start all over from the beginning?? ,,, last thing id want to do is redo all the work and time I put in on the tomb of knowledge. lol

New toons only. Not mythic run so all old characters are gone.

Is anyone still on Ywain 1? I just moved a toon there and was hoping to join the guild and revisit DAOC a bit.

We are on Ywain 1 however I don't believe any of us are still active over there. We tried a go back event to see how many were interested and didn't get that big of a response.

Anyone available to invite one of my toons sometime? :)

Does DAoC still have a big following?

I didn't even know it was an option. I think one of my favorite games. I stayed way to long while everyone went off to other games.

I decided perhaps a year or so ago to see what the state of DAoC was, it being one of my favorite MMORPGs of all time (and there is a new version of it in the works: Camelot Unlimited). I had played the most on Gaheris, which was a co-op server. I figured that all of my old characters were long deleted, so I started over again with a few new ones. I discovered that, on a good day, perhaps 30 characters were on and that one Guild had almost all of them. Sad, because this was such a good game at its height.

With the Guild's help, I think I made it to 50 in about two weeks. Being that I used the same email address on both my new and old accounts, I contacted game support to see if my old characters were still accessible, and was shocked to find out that they were, along with my personal house and all decorations and such. I played them for about two weeks, but found the lack of other players to group with made things too boring.
