Gathering Zerg for Sat, Sept 29: Brisban Wildlands -- Level 15+ Recommended

UPDATED: Swtiched to Brisban Wildlands.  I did test run today in Snowden Drifts and the harvesting was not very good.  So, switching to Brisban Wildlands which has better harvesting.

I wanted to give you an earlier heads-up that next Saturday's 9am Gathering Zerg will be in Brisban Wildlands. It's another 15 - 25 zone near the Asura starter city, Rata Sum.

You may come at any level but I'm giving you some advanced warning so you can pad your levels prior to the event if you want to. 

• Level 10+ is requird to use the Iron gathering tools needed in Brisban Wildlands.
• Level 15+ is recommended so you can stay alive more easily and score hits on the level 15-25 mobs for loot and XP.  (It's not possible in GW2 to get loot or XP from mobs that are more than 10 levels over your character's level.)

Getting to Brisban Wildlands:

There are three different ways to get to Brisban Wildlands:

• SW from Queensdale to Kessex Hills, then W from Fort Salma 
  • This is the fastest route if you have Queensdale unlocked.  Waypoint to Claypool then head SW to zone to Kessex.  Next head W through Fort Salma to the Halcon Waypoint.  Zone through to Brisban.  This will also put you at the starting spot for the event.
• W from Caledon Forest near Twilight Arbor
• N from Metrica Province near Thaumanova Reactor

Maybe a penguin... that would be pretty funny. I'd say bring your tonics, but I trash mine just for the bag space.

I've updated the location to Brisban Wildlands because I felt both group adventure and harvesting/goody bag drops were a bit subpar in Snowden Drifts.

I'm looking forward to it! I actually had to go find the place since I've never been there before, on any character. It'll be good to go to a completely new zone. :)

I have missed the last few crafting events but I plan on being there this Sat :) can't wait.

Thanks for running these. Only suggestion is please keep the initial waypoint that is selected the same. I logged in today to find out that it was changed right before the event started, and I and a few others did not have any of that map open. Only part of the asura area I had open was the waypoint in from Kessex Hills.

I had a lot of fun and am glad there is more PvE stuff being lead. I did have trouble as well with the starting location. I had nothing open in the Asura area and had only opened the map at the original WP in the NE. So I had to zone thru the gate in LA and figure out how to get out of Rata then run all the way thru the 1-15 zone but I eventually got there. Not sure if that was the best way to go but I did open up a lot of the map getting there. Unfortunately I got there too late to do the heart to get the frog potion but ahh well, I had fun anyway.
